drove off.
“Man! He's hot,” Ivy yelled through the crowd, as Lightning Ridge performed.
“What? Who?” Sienna roared.
“Jake. He's hot.”
“Ivy, you've seen him before, many times.”
“Yeah, but not like this, I mean he's really hot. I can't believe the two of you live together and you haven't even fucked him, yet.”
“Excuse me?!” Sienna was mortified.
“I'm just saying.”
“We are practically brother and sister, neither of us has ever looked at one another like that. Besides, I've got my eye on someone else.”
“Oh, right, yeah! Lukas, how could I possibly forget?” Ivy fluttered her eyelashes at Sienna, and the two of them continued to dance. “So, he’s still single, then?” Ivy asked, intrigued.
“Jake?”
Ivy nodded, she had always had a thing for Jake, since she met him, but was too shy to tell him.
“Yes, he's single. But you're not his type, Ivy.”
“Really? How would you know?”
“I know Jake, and I know his type. Trust me, don't waste your time.”
Sienna and Ivy danced as Lightning Ridge continued to perform on stage. Ivy turned her eyes on Jake and winked at him, he acknowledged her with a smile, but who he really wanted, was Sienna.
The venue was small and it was a full house. There were security guards at every exit and charity workers had a stall set up in front of the main entrance. Sienna knew how much tonight meant to Jake and the band, and she was happy that it was a sold out show for their first gig.
“We are going to take a small break and we will be back soon with a very special surprise,” Jake announced on the mic, as he and the rest of the band headed off stage.
“Come on, let's go,” Sienna said, grabbing Ivy's arm and dragging her away through the crowd.
“Where are we going?”
“Just trust me, come on.” The two of them made their way through the crowd as fast as they could, and soon they found themselves backstage. Sienna followed the narrow corridor until the two of them came to a stop outside a room. Sienna knocked on the door and she could hear someone approaching.
“Oh! Hello, Sienna,” Tori said, flinging open the door.
“Hi.”
“I'll get Jake,” Tori turned and walked back inside the dressing room, Sienna and Ivy stood there staring around inside the room.
“Hey!” Jake appeared before them.
“Hello,” Ivy blushed, waving her hand.
“Great show, Jake,” Sienna smiled.
“Thanks. I don't have a lot of time, sorry, I need to get back on stage” he said, frantically buttoning up a fresh shirt he had put on and restyling his hair.
“No, its fine, I get it. We just wanted to let you know that we are enjoying the show. So this surprise, is it your new song?” She asked.
“Jake, we really need to get ready,” Lance said.
“Sorry guys, I really have to go,” before either of them had the chance to say anything, he turned and walked back inside.
Sienna and Ivy headed back to the stage and found their seats.
“Shit, I have to pee,” Ivy said.
“You're unbelievable,” Sienna raised her eyebrows. “You better hurry up, they're about to start.”
Ivy made her way through the crowd while Sienna adjusted her shirt and pants. She checked her phone for messages as the lights in the room dimmed slightly.
There was a roar of cheers and clapping from the crowd as one by one, the band started to make their way back on stage. A spotlight lit up center stage as Jake walked over and grabbed the microphone.
Ivy quickly emerged from the crowd and sat down beside Sienna, in the nick of time.
“Our last song for tonight is very special to us. It's about four ordinary people, living ordinary lives, until one day, they decided to get together and form a band. It's called One Road.”
Jake strummed the strings on his guitar, the lights dimmed even lower and the stage was lit with a dark shade of blue lighting. The tempo of the music had changed from rock, to a gentle ballad. Tori took a step
