Tokyo, Japan and the thirteen-hour time difference caused her to suffer from jetlag.  She landed in Narita International in Tokyo and moved quickly to retrieve her luggage so she could get a taxi and get to her hotel.  As she walked through the terminal she had to slow down to take in the massive size and the incredible architecture of the airport.  You not in Kansas anymore Dorothy! Monica thought as she moved towards the exit.  She stopped to retrieve the name of the taxi service that was picking her up when she saw a sign that read, “Welcome Ms. Monica Thomas.”
Monica approached the handsome Asian man holding the sign. “Hello I am Monica Thomas,” she said in Japanese as he smiled. “Welcome to Tokyo.  My name is Takeo Yamada.”  Monica returned the smile, “thank you.”  “Okay I used the extent of my Japanese in one conversation,” she whispered as he retrieved her luggage from her hand.  He smiled again.  “I can speak English if you prefer,” he said with the sexiest Asian accent she had ever heard.  Monica smiled as she handed him the luggage.  “So you allowed me to struggle through trying to speak Japanese. I guess that was funny to you?” she asked jokingly. “Not at all; your Japanese is pretty good,” he said with a smile.  “The car is this way.”
She halted her progress as she placed her hand on his arm causing him to do the same.   “Wait…  Yamada, as in a relative to Mr. Yoshi Yamada, as in CEO of Takahashi Enterprise?”  He looked into her eyes. “Yes, it’s my uncle’s company,” he said in a dark stern tone.  Monica looked at him; she could recognize a distain tone when she heard one because she had been the receiver of that tone too many times.  She looked at him deciding it was not her business.  She was here for only three weeks then she would be back in the states with her man.  She instantly smiled as she thought about Marco; she needed to call him as soon as she got to the hotel.  She missed him already.
Takeo’s sexy voice brought her out of her thoughts.  “Would you like to stop anywhere before going to the hotel?” Takeo asked as he helped her into the car.
“No I’m anxious to get to my hotel, I have to prepare for tomorrow and…”
“Well I hope you allow me to give you a tour of Tokyo before you leave; it is a beautiful city.”
“I would like that after my business here is concluded.  I am still confused as to how I was chosen to make the presentation for our company. I was told that they asked for me specifically.”  He looked at her.
“You are obviously better than you give yourself credit for,” he said with a slight smile.
They pulled up in front of the Takahashi Towers and parked.  He took her luggage and walked towards the lobby.  “Wait, this is not the place where my room is booked…”
“I know, that’s all been taken care of; you are in the penthouse suite.”  Takeo said with a smile.
“I’m sure my company is not going to cover the cost for that, I booked….”
He interrupted her again, “It’s all been taken care of by Takahashi Enterprise.  We want you to enjoy your stay with us.”
“That is very kind of you but that wasn’t necessary; my company has a made all the arrangements for my stay,” she said.
“My uncle insisted that we make your stay as enjoyable as possible and it is our pleasure.” Monica started to insist on using the room her company set up but decided not to insult a potential client. “Well thank you very much for your hospitality.”  Takeo opened the door to the suite and Monica was amazed; the suite was double the size of her home.   It was absolutely beautiful. Takeo said goodbye to her as he closed the door behind him.   As he approached the elevator the doors opened and he reached for his phone and he immediately dialed her.  “Are you alone?  Good, I’m on my way over.” Takeo needed to meet with his best friend and business partner
