good," Joe exclaimed, echoing my thoughts. It was also concerning. It meant she'd probably see right through my bullshit.
"Am I right?" she asked with a smile, tossing her long hair as she looked back and forth between us, waiting for our response.
"The man's a computer genius," Joe exaggerated, and I rolled my eyes.
    "No, I'm not."
"Yeah, I could see that," Lacy said with her eyes still appraising me. "The cute glasses make you look smart, but it's what's behind them that proves the theory."
"You are an exceptionally observant, and even more beautiful woman, Lacy," Joe leaned in and told her, making me want to kick him. "And you should definitely ask Will to show you his Porsche."
Ah, fuck . I glared at Joe until Lacy turned her attention back to me. Was the bastard trying to screw me over?
"You drive a Porsche?" she asked.
"Uh-huh," I muttered. It was technically true. I was driving a Porsche tonight, I just didn't own it.
"Joe, don't you have a ball busting prosecutor to go after?” I asked, trying to get rid of him. “That cute little redhead is probably dancing with some asshole by now. Her tongue down his throat, his hand on her ass. I'd hate for you to-"
"Later," he said, jumping up out of the booth, and then thankfully he was gone.
"So, what about you? What do you do?" I asked Lacy, brushing my thigh against hers. I was surprised by the fact that she didn't slide over to the empty space Joe had just vacated to put distance between us.
"I just graduated from Kinston with a degree in journalism. My dad wanted me to move back here and try to find a job locally, but I'm hoping to snag a job in a bigger city, eventually on a national network."
"Wow. I could definitely see you as a reporter, calling out politicians on their bullshit."
She laughed and swept her long strawberry blonde hair over her shoulder. "That's exactly what I want to do, eventually. But do you want to hear what I'd like to do right now?" she asked, shifting towards me. She propped one of her elbow's on the top of the booth, resting her knuckles against her chin. God, she was so damn beautiful.
"I'd love to hear what you want to do," I told her, leaning closer until I inhaled her sweet scent again.
"How about I just show you instead?" she asked with a smile. Her perfect, soft lips brushed mine lightly, then she eased back to judge my reaction. I licked my lips, and if I hadn't tasted cherries I'd swear I had only imagined the brief touch.
"So that's it?" I asked, parroting her question from earlier, trying not to let my surprise show on my face or in my voice. "I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed."
She scoffed in offense and leaned forward again, her tongue flicking over my lips this time. I reached out and cupped her jaw, not letting her even think about retreating.
My tongue mimicked hers, and then it was like a switch was flipped. Our mouths opened and we hungrily kissed each other with a frantic desperation. I wrapped my arm around her back, pulling her to me, and her hands clung to my neck as she moaned. Every stroke of her tongue against mine felt like a caress down my hard cock.
Lacy squirmed in her seat before plastering as much of herself as she could against me. I was pretty sure that if she wasn't wearing a short-ass dress she'd be straddling my lap. I couldn't believe her sudden and intense reaction…to me, of all damn people. Did it have something to do with Joe mentioning the expensive car? Goddamn it . Dylan was right. It did suck to not know whether a woman actually likes you or the idea of your money. Either way, I wouldn't be the one to slow things down tonight.
Feeling braver I ran my hand down her spine. I couldn't resist rubbing her tempting ass that was raised slightly as she leaned into me. She gasped into my mouth, and went still so I moved my palm up her back.
"Don’t stop," she whispered against my lips. I didn't have to be told twice.
My hand went back down to where it had been, grabbing
