couldn’t stay hidden anymore. Without taking my eyes off of her and her beautiful erotic moves, I walked through the other people standing around watching her. I needed to be close to her and I didn’t stop until I was under her.
When she bent backwards over the hoop and started looking around, I almost lost it when our eyes finally met. I suddenly remembered all those fairytales my mom would tell, over and over, when I was growing up. I felt like we were looking into each other’s soul. It was all I could do not to reach my hand out to hers when she reached down for mine. She felt it too, there was no denying it.
I watched as the hoop moved back behind the bar and lowered her. I didn’t want her out of my sight, but since I knew she also wanted me, I decided to play it a little cool, besides, I needed a moment myself. The last thing I wanted was to fall to my knees in front of her and pledge my undying love. The crowd parted for me as I walked up to the bar. I couldn’t help it, I was excited about the prospect of getting to touch her. I knew what the night was going to hold and I couldn’t help but smile as I walked up to her.
I held my hand out to her. “Bryant.” When her hand slid into mine, I casually turned it over in my hand and leaned forward and kissed her palm. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” With my lips still hovering over her hand, I looked up at her and saw her blush. “And your name?”
“Starr.” Her tongue darted out and licked her lips.
“How many men have wished on you, my Little Starr?”
She mocked me by raising an eyebrow at me. “Like I’ve never heard that one before.”
“Oh, I’m sure you have.” I gave her wrist another kiss before I stood up and let it go. “But you have no idea what I’m capable of.”
“And who’s to say I’m interested?” She folded her arms under her chest, heaving them up. It was all I could do not to stare at them.
“Oh darling, you’re interested. What time do you get off?” There was no way I was going to let her go.
Her head tipped to the side. “Now that’s a loaded question in this place.”
“I want to spend time with you.”
“I don’t do well with demands.”
“That’s okay, neither do I. Why don’t we go out for a late night dinner when you’re done here?”
“Hey,” A high pitched, male voice said next to Starr. “This guy bothering you?”
My eyes narrowed at the man and immediately dismissed him as a threat, there would be no way she’d be interested in someone like that.
“No, Ricky, I’m fine.” She nodded towards his end of the bar. “You’ve got customers.”
“So do you.” His voice was filled with venom. “More than him .”
“Ricky, I’ve got this, go.” My Little Starr narrowed her eyes at the boy.
There was something primal in me that loved the fact she told him to go away. I wanted her more than I had ever wanted anything else in my life. “Dinner?”
Her eyes swung back towards me, but I knew she’d give in. She was too intrigued to let it go. I decided to give a little. “Your choice. Anywhere, but it has to be tonight.”
“It’s against the rules.”
I frowned. “I thought the only rule was to keep your mouth shut.”
“For The Club, yes, but I have rules, and one of them is not to date the customers here.”
“Ahh, but see, here’s the loophole. I’m not a customer, I’m a guest. Now, where would you like to go?”
“My mama always thought rules were made to be broken.”
“A smart woman.”
“She had her moments, however, she always had terrible taste in men.”
“Which is why you are trying very hard to make sure you don’t make the same mistakes.”
Her eyes narrowed at me. “Why do you say that?”
“I’m good at reading people,” I shrugged. “It’s a gift. Now, why don’t we stop all of this banter and you tell when what time you get off of work and where you would like to go?”
She glanced down under the bar, and for a brief moment,
