Donât blame him. He just didnât want to share his computer.â
Feenman and Crench glared at me.
âIâm new here,â Angel said. âAt my old school we all shared.â
âYou can use my laptop,â Crench said. âThe b and d keys are broken. But who uses b and d that much?â
âThanks,â Angel said. âMy name is Angel Goodeboy. Bernie and I are new best friends. And I know you guys will be good friends, too.â
I couldnât stand it. Couldnât Feenman and Crench see what a phony this kid was? He was acting all innocent. But he was evil. I knew he was evil.
I had to get out of there. I watched Feenman and Crench trying to cheer up Angel, and it made my stomach heave.
I hurried outside to get some fresh air.
And as I passed the girlsâ dorm, I saw April-May June. Her blond ponytail waved in the wind. Her blue eyes sparkled like jewels. Dudes, are you beginning to see how I feel about April-May?
Sheâs the hottest girl in school. And she feels the same way about me. She just doesnât know it yet.
âApril-Mayâwait up!â I shouted. âHeyâwait up!â
Chapter 6
H E S NIFFS H IS A RMPITS
April-May whipped around so hard, her ponytail smacked her in the face. âI canât wait up, Bernie,â she said. âIâm in a big hurry.â
âA big hurry?â I said. âTo do what?â
âTo get away from you,â she said.
âHa-ha-ha.â I laughed. She has an awesome sense of humor. I knew she was kidding. âWhere are you going?â I asked.
She flipped her ponytail behind her. âTo the library. You know. The place where they have books.â
âI love books,â I said. My heart started to pound.âBooks are my favorite thing for reading. Maybe you and I could read one together.â
âGood idea,â she said. âMaybe when I pull out all my hair and tattoo your name on my head.â
âCould that be on Friday?â I asked.
She started to walk away. I hurried after her. âFriday night is movie night at the Student Center,â I said. âWould you like to go with me?â
She spun around again. âBernie, who is that new boy in your dorm? I hear heâs really cute.â
I gulped. âAngel? Cute? You wouldnât like him. He has hair growing out of his nose, and he licks it.â
She stomped down hard on my foot.
âOWWWW!â I let out a scream and stumbled back. âWhy did you do that?â
âJust felt like it,â she said. âNow tell me about this new kid.â
âWhat about my question about Friday night?â I said.
âI already forgot it,â April-May said.
Flora and Faunaâthe Peevish twinsâcame running up. The twins are identical. They are both short and thin and have brown hair and brown eyes.Thereâs only one way to tell which is which: Fauna is the one on the left.
âWe heard thereâs a cute new guy in your dorm,â Fauna said.
âI heard it first,â Flora said.
âDid not,â Fauna said. âI heard it before he even came here.â
âI heard it before that!â her sister said.
They started slapping each other and tearing at each otherâs hair. April-May and I had to pull them apart.
âSo? Whatâs he like?â Flora asked.
âYou wouldnât like him,â I said. âHeâs very hairy, and he grunts. He doesnât talk. He scratches hisarmpits, and he sniffs them. And he smells like two-day-old diarrhea.â
Good description, huh?
All three girls stared at me.
âYouâre lying,â April-May said.
âYeah. Heâs lying,â Fauna agreed.
âMaybe a little,â I replied.
âWeâre having a party at the girlsâ dorm Tuesday afternoon,â April-May said. âCould you send the new kid over?â
âHeâs not ready for a party,â I said.
