morning,’ Miranda seemed to almost sing the words, as I walked into
the kitchen.
‘Morning,’ I replied.
I sat down at the kitchen counter in the exact same seat where the
greatest moment of my life took place the night before.
‘Did you sleep well?’
That beautiful smile broke across her lips. ‘I slept very well. In fact I
haven’t felt this good in a very long time,’ she pushed a bowl of cereal in
front of me and slowly stroked her fingers against the back of my hand.
Butterflies danced within my stomach at the feel of her touch and the silent
signals being transmitted through our eyes.
Miranda pulled away as a second woman bounded into the kitchen.
My heart skipped a beat.
This sexy young blonde woman was wearing nothing more than a bikini top
and a towel wrapped around her waist. I unconsciously looked her finely toned
body up and down. She had to be no older than twenty years old. My eyes stopped
briefly on her perky breasts, but with all eyes on me I quickly looked up and
smiled. The woman looked very much like Miranda, even down to the bright blue
eyes.
‘Nathan, this is my daughter, Sheridan,’ explained Miranda.
This goddess of beauty had a twenty-year-old daughter?
‘Sheridan, this is, Nathan.’
‘Nice to meet you,’ I said.
‘You too,’ she smiled a sweet little smile. ‘You are, Charles’s, son?’ she
asked.
‘That’s right.’
‘Charles’s flight was cancelled, so, Nathan, will be staying with us,’
said Miranda.
‘Okay, cool.’ Sheridan’s eyes darted to the clock on the wall. ‘Well, I
have got to go. It was nice meeting you, Nathan. Bye, Mum. I’ll be back later
on tonight.’
She turned away and rushed out the kitchen.
The front door of the lake house slammed shut behind her.
‘Pretty hot don’t you think?’ asked Miranda with a wink.
‘She is very beautiful.’ I admitted. ‘I can see where she gets her looks.’
Miranda blushed.
‘Compliments will get you everywhere,’ she warned with a dangerous smile.
‘I hope so.’
She laughed. ‘Well, you are feeling a little braver today.’
I unconsciously looked away. ‘I have never had anything like last night
happen to me before and I have never felt like this about someone in my entire
life. It is odd, as we have only just met, but I have never been so attracted
to someone before.’ I admitted. ‘If I let my shyness get the better of me and
I let you slip away, I don’t think I would ever forgive myself, so today I am
going to be much braver.’
Miranda walked around the kitchen counter towards me.
I tried to avoid her gaze and swallowed down the lump in my throat.
‘Look at me,’ she ordered.
I nervously looked up, as she stopped in front of me. My heart nearly melted.
She looked gorgeous. Miranda was wearing black designer trousers, which gave
her a sort of official businesswoman look, but somehow she made them look very
sexy. A white blouse clung tightly too her body, mapping out every beautiful
curve across the landscape of this utopia that was Miranda.
Her lips pressed hard against mine, as she kissed me.
Thousands of butterflies began to flutter throughout my entire body at
the feel of her tongue inside my mouth. For a moment I felt like I was in
heaven, I have never been kissed like this in all my life, it had so much
passion and emotion to it, Miranda wanted me, as much as I wanted her.
She pulled back and ran a hand down the side of my face.
‘I have to go out,’ she whispered. ‘I won’t be long, but when I get back.’
A smile broke across her lips. ‘I am going to make love to you.’
My heart leapt into my mouth.
Miranda laughed sweetly, as the shock of what she said hit me across the
face like a nuclear explosion.
‘You are sweet,’ she muttered.
Miranda grabbed her handbag and handful of holiday brochures off the
kitchen counter and disappeared out the room. I sat in shocked silence, as the
front door shut and the engine of her four by four started
