honeymoon couples went to, Kris steered his bike to that direction. The Peach Cobbler Inn wasn’t his kind of place, but Will would fucking love it.
    “Hungry?” Kris asked.
    “A little,” Will admitted.
“We’ll stop by one of my favorite diners.” Kris drove up to the roadside diner and killed the engine after parking his ride by the dirt lot. Will dismounted, gazing at the old-fashioned diner with curiosity. When Will’s stomach growled, Kris chuckled.
“The food smells good,” Will told him.
Kris gave the back of his neck a squeeze, loving Will’s shudder. “Come on, baby.”
He led Will into the diner.  Will’s eyes went wide when Kris ordered his usual—a meal enough for three men.
“Aren’t you worried about getting fat?” Will asked.
Grinning sheepishly at his mate, Kris lifted his shirt to show Will his abs. Will licked his lips. God. Kris couldn’t get enough of Will’s reactions. Will had this special something about him, like he wouldn’t hide his emotions. Kris liked that, because he had enough of liars and cheats who’d do anything to get the attention of his dick.
“We aren’t sharing?” Will asked while the waitress patiently waited.
“Believe me, cutie pie. This road warrior can eat his fill,” Betsy, the same waitress who’d served Kris for a decade, said.
“Oh. Fish and chips then, and an apple pie a la mode, please.”
“Aren’t you a treat?” Betsy beamed, before rounding her well-robust figure on Kris. “You better take care of this one good, Kris.”
“Don’t worry, sexy lady. Will and I are in it for the long road. He’s the mate I’ve been searching for all my life.”
Betsy let out an unexpected squeal and hugged him. She regarded a stunned-looking Will. “I’ve been worried about this boy for the longest time. I’m glad he found you.”
“I hope I won’t disappoint,” Will said lightly, although Kris could sense his nervousness.
Betsy straightened her uniform, gave Will a pat on the hand and said she’ll be right back.
“You come here often?” Will asked.
“I don’t usually do repeats being on the road so much, but this is one place I’d make an exception for.”
“You’ve been on the road long then?”
Kris was happy to answer Will’s questions and reassure him he was changing his wild lifestyle, well, altering it now that Will was with him. He asked Will questions too and after listening to his pup talk, he realized why Will was so insecure.
    “Well, that explains everything.”
    “What?” Will blinked.
“Those Alphas your pack matched you with? They’re clueless idiots who didn’t know what kind of gift landed on their laps.”
Will’s face practically turned crimson. The Omega looked relieved when Betsy came back with their food. Will didn’t seem used to praises. Grinning, Kris mused he’d change that. By tonight, he’d lure the wild and sexy beast lurking inside Will out to the open.
    “Let’s dig in,” Kris said.
It was a pleasure, watching the Omega eat.
Noticing his stare, Will swallowed a chunk of his apple pie and ice cream. Damn. Kris could imagine licking away something sweet and sticky off his fine pup.
    “What?” Will asked.
“Nothing. I like a pup with appetite.”
Will coughed, reaching for his soda. “You do?”
Kris frowned. “Is that so surprising?”
“Well, it’s just…back at the pack house, the elders always tell us Omegas it’s important to be on a healthy diet so we won’t look displeasing to the eye of a potential Alpha.”
Kris snorted. “Bullshit, pup. You’re mighty fine the way you are.”
“W-why do you keep saying words that catch me off-guard?”
    “Why not? It’s the truth.”
    “Only you say that.”
“Do the opinions of others matter?”
Will bit down on his bottom lip. “I guess not. It’s just, I’m so new to all this. I don’t want to disappoint you. I mean, I still can’t believe you picked me.”
Rising from his seat, Kris yanked a fistful of
