happiness. I had to look again to make sure I saw correctly. It wasn’t her usual number so my contentment abruptly dissipated. This could be a setup, crossed my mind. I decided to call the number to make sure it was her.
It rang four times before someone answered: “Why are you calling me? You should be on your way.”
A huge grin came across my face. “Baby, my baby, what took you so long to call me? I missed you.”
â€œTony, we discussed this. It will never be. I love my life; now you can play your part in it or I can get a replacement. Which would you like?”
Her sternness got my dick hard instantly. “Say no more, I’m on my way.” I pushed End on the screen, turned the key in the ignition, and put the car in gear. I pushed my foot on the gas and zipped my way to the Long Island Expressway from Midtown Manhattan. My mind was racing. I thought we had more than just sex. Am I falling in love? Why won’t she leave him? He’s not her husband, there’s no record of a marriage certificate. I know that for a fact. She’s not the only one with a high powered friend or two. If she strictly wants sex, then that’s exactly what she’s going to get — for now. Soon she will be mine. I’ll make sure of it.

Thirty minutes later I was exiting off the highway following the directions from my phone to the Hilton. I drove around the lot looking for Regina’s baby blue Bentley. I didn’t see it. My paranoia made an appearance again. This is a fucking setup! I pulled into a parking space at the back of the hotel. I picked up my phone and exited the navigation on my phone. Searching my call log I called the last number dialed.
â€œYou better be downstairs,” Regina answered.
    â€œI am, where’s your car?”
â€œIn the shop. Is there a problem?” she questioned.
â€œMatter of fact, there is.” I waited for her response.
    Regina’s breaths became deeper. “What?”
â€œI have one question for you: are you setting me up for your man to get at me?”
â€œYou can’t be serious. Do you actually think that I—me, someone you fucking on the regular—would do that?” Her tone was no longer sexy.
â€œYeah, I do.” There was a long pause before she spoke again.
â€œListen, Tony, there’s no one holding a gun to your head. Do whatever you feel. I’m through.”
The phone clicked in my ear. If it was a setup then I was surely dead. Fuck it. I didn’t drive all this way just to turn back. I knew the room number already so I looked for a back door of the hotel. There was one; I only hoped that I didn’t need a key card to enter. Fuck! I cursed the key card slot for the door. Suddenly the door opened. Yes! I grabbed the handle and held the door.
    â€œThanks,” the man offered.
â€œNo, thank you. Have a good night,” I replied and entered the hotel.
I walked straight to the elevator and pushed the call button. I was still kind of nervous, but so far so good. The elevator doors opened and I entered pushing the fifth-floor button. It only took a minute to arrive at the fifth floor. When the doors opened and I cautiously peeked out and quickly reverted my head back. I pushed the fourth floor button instead and exited then. I walked toward the staircase and walked up one flight of stairs. Again, I opened the door and poked my head out. The hallway was empty. I stood there for a minute listening to the dead silence in the air. Slowly I followed the signs to the room number. With a few steps down the long hallway her room was in front of me. Before I knocked, I stepped to the side so she couldn’t see me through the peephole.
No answer. I was completely nervous. I slowly moved away from the door. I damn sure didn’t want to knock on the door again. I waited for a few seconds then I started to head back to the elevator.
After few steps I heard a door open
