athlete who had taken her workouts seriously.
As humored as he was, he watched her little scam unfold right before his eyes. Juanita was throwing the fight.
Nobody else would have caught it, but Ricardo was not just anybody. He was a trained military intelligence officer; who had excelled in his career.
Ricardo had grown up in the slums of Colombia. He had resorted to running drugs at a very young age.
His reputation was so well known for his ability to profile and interrogate the competition, that when the military got Intel on him; they recruited him.
Between Ricardo’s street sense and his military training; very little got past him.
After taking the time to profile her as she worked the ring; he separated the girls to interrogate them.
He would question Juanita , but Roxanne was being escorted to New York to marry his little brother Antonio Wayne.
He solidified in his mind that retribution was to be paid and that restitution would constitute; marriage to the brothers.

Juanita was left to sit in a room alone; in order to purposely build anticipation.
When Ricardo felt that she had been left alone long enough to ‘ponder,’ he entered pulling up a chair, turning it around and folding his arms on the back of it.
“That is quite the scam that you have going there Juanita.” Ricardo sat looking intently, as if waiting for an answer.
Juanita folded her arms in defiance, “I don’t have a clue what you are referring to.
“Ok, maybe a night in jail will jar you from your false state of dim-wittedness.”
“You can’t take me to jail!” Juanita jumped , lunging at him full force.
“You little bitch! ” He said, shaking her like a rag doll.
“You cost me a lot of money!”
Juanita was right in his face and he noted that she became distracted. She began to study his face as she chewed on her bottom lip. He held her with one hand and turned whistling towards the door for the Dr. to come and sedate her.
Sleep eluded him that night; he saw her face each time that he made an attempt to do so.
It had taken Juanita three weeks before she broke down and agreed to go and begin her new life as his wife.
Each day he would go and ask if she was ready to become his wife and each day she would lunge at the bars cursing.
Over the period of three weeks , little by little her will had been weakened, until finally, at the end of three weeks, she had agreed to Ricardo’s demand.
He had made certain to keep her out of the prison population ; he also made it known that there would be consequences if anyone so much as touched her.
His men knew that Ricardo had a sadistic streak and none of them wanted to be on the receiving end of it.

Needless to say, Juanita was guarded with the lives of those who watched over her. No guard wanted to suffer the wrath of Ricardo.
They had actually breathed a sigh of relief when she had finally agreed to join Ricardo in his mansion. Let someone else have the responsibility of watching over the trouble making American.

Chapter Eight
Oddly enough my life morphed into a state of normality.
My husband had a habit of stalking me. He thought nothing of standing around corners and spying on me, or listening in on my conversations with Marta ; the woman who worked as his maid.
I had grown to like Marta and I could only assume that he felt that I would not be as guarded with her. When he was not lurking; one of his cronies was, and I would l learn just how far they went to watch me; at a later date.

    Carlos
Carlos sat in Ricardo’s office with his hat in his hand, eyeing his boss.
He had thought long and hard about this , and though it wasn’t something that he looked forward to doing, it was the right thing to do.
He had wanted to be certain that his
