look from the other night but it was still sexy. She was not on a business call tonight that was over. It was just dinner with the landlord.
    We sat and started to eat. She spoke to me about her day while we ate. I was quiet. I did not let her know that she had spoken to my sister. I would keep that quiet. I did not want her to know my connection to these people just yet.
    “Oh I saw the fridge. I would like to thank you for that as well. That should keep me until I earn enough to get food for myself.”
    “Don’t worry about it. You really shouldn’t be out too long in this weather. I was headed out anyway so it is no big deal. I can tell that you have really been down on your luck. You need some positive things happening right now.”
    “Yes, it has been pretty bad for me.”
     
     

CONFESSIONS
    I was at church in the confessional. I went through the usual statement and then I admitted my sin.
    “Since my last confession, I solicited the services of a woman for sex. I have had nasty thoughts about being with her since then.”
    “Have you gone forward and acted on these thoughts?” the priest asked.
    “No I have not.”
    “Well, I suggest that you help her as much as you can as penance. Help her to get back on her feet.”
    “Oh you spoke to Tamara I see.”
    “Well, she told me that you sent a young lady to her to get a job. That was it. Are you the father of her child?”
    The priest was my brother.
    “No, I am not the father. She is really down on her luck and I am just lending a hand.”
    “Well I can tell that you really like her. How does she feel about you?”
    “I am not sure. I must say that I do like having someone to care for but I am much older than her.”
    “Well, what will you do if it does not go the way you want it to? Are you prepared to deal with that?”
    “I am not sure.”
    I left the church and went home to pack. I had business to get to. I hopped in the car and started the long drive out of town. I hated flying and only did it when I absolutely had to. This place was close enough for me to drive. I was taking over a company. I had done the research and saw that it had great potential. I had also spoken to each staff member. I had assured them that they would not lose their jobs and made sure they would be willing to work with me at the helm. The company had no more than sixty employees.
    I headed back home after completing that acquisition. I had a manager in place to give me reports. Fiona came over with Squiggles in her arms.
    “Hello there. How is your new job so far?”
    “Oh, it is perfect. Tamara has really shown me the ropes and Kenny Is real nice and helpful too.”
    “That is great!”
    Kenny was Tamara’s husband and I liked him as a brother-in-law.
    “I just need to find a solution for my feet though. They really hurt as I have a long walk to and from the bus stop each day. I almost have enough to get a car as the one I had is scrap now.”
    “Okay, would you like me to rub those feet for you?”
    “Ah, no, that will be okay thanks. I will manage fine without that.”
    I could tell that she was being hesitant.
    “Fiona, I am just offering to rub your feet, nothing else. You are my tenant and house sitter now. Remember that.”
    Her expression changed. "Thank you, I would really appreciate that."
    "Ok, I will go and get my massage oil then."
    I went and fetched it, grabbed a towel and returned to the living room. I sat down beside her and started to work on her feet. They were a bit swollen. I had the perfect solution for that.
    "So, you said that car you had before was basically scrap. You haven't job now so what kind of car are you looking for?"
    "Well, I can't afford anything new so I would have to settle for a nice used car, something nice and cheap but reliable."
    "Well, I know somebody who just may be able to help you. He owns a used car dealership. I can call him up and set up something for you."
