go up and see the cherry blossoms. However they knew how dangerous it was. Wild animals were known to be violent.
Two years ago, a young couple had gone up to the mountain for a nice romantic scene. Three days later, their bodies were found. The villagers were petrified but not surprised once they found out what happened. This was not the first time this happened and it would not be the last.
The sky grew darker and Albedo could have slept for hours without waking up. For some reason, he was never afraid of the mountain. He was once lost in it for three days. There was not one scratch on him when his parents had found him.
As Albedo continued his walk home, the wind slowly passed his ear, as if to say he was not alone. He was deep in the mountain now, where lots of trees made it their home. He suddenly heard a noise. It was definitely not the sound of the wind. It was something different. In a great distance, Albedo could see a baby cub lift its head and cry. Her feet were stuck under a large branch. It was the most sorrowful and soul-touching cry he had ever heard. Albedo came closer and stopped. He looked around to see if its mother was around. The last thing he wanted to do was startle the mother. Good, the mother is not around, I can hurry it up and help him .
As he lifted the branch off the baby bear’s foot, he realized it was quite heavy. He was still a young man and had no muscle. His frail arms were as weak as his knees.
As the baby cub cried some more, Albedo could feel strength rising out of the ashes within him. The despair and weakness from the cub gave him just enough strength to lift it.
“You’re alright now,” he said proudly. “I got it off of you.”
What is this feeling?! At that very moment, Albedo could feel something swigging toward his head; it was more a sense than a feeling and a faint voice telling him to move. Did I just hear a person’s voice? At the very last moment, he dodged it. A piece of his hair however was torn off. He could see it flying around him, this could have been my head , he thought.
A big black bear let out a loud roar. Albedo could feel the leaf on the trees shaking with fear. This was by far the biggest bear he ever seen in his life, maybe the king of the mountain. This roaring was not unfamiliar to him, nights he had heard the same sound over and over as he slept. He had always wondered what type of beast could make such a sound and now he was staring at it face to face. Albedo slowly started crawling back to a tree. He fell down in fear . Is that what I think it is? I can’t die now, not today.
The bear slowly walked towards him. Albedo thought about running, the bear would surely catch up to him; his only option was to fight back. The bear now ran towards him. It swung its claws. Albedo dodged once again. His only advantage was his size; the tree behind him was cut in half. The bear’s claws were as vicious as her look. What now ? He saw a stick on the ground. Albedo grabbed the stick and hit the bear on its back, which only made her angrier. The baby cub was still on the other side, watching with its bright brown eyes. The mother charged once again. Albedo backed up, but he fell on his back again. Now the bear had him where she wanted him. She stood up on her feet, her claws ready to devourer him. The loud roar brought goose bumps to his skin; this was the end for Albedo! Today has been one of the worst days of my life, but it can’t end now .
She went for the kill; this was the fastest and strongest wild animal Albedo had ever encountered. As its claws were about to devourer Albedo’s face, his eyes meet her eyes in intensity; a single word came out of Albedo’s mouth. “Stop!” with no hesitation the bear stopped; its claw was less than an inch from his face.
Albedo’s expression had changed; it was as if he was a different person. The bear took a couple steps back; it was obvious to Albedo
