Marlene then I’m off.
“So Marlene, think of this as your home. Do what you like”
“Oh Cam honey are you sure you need to leave?”
I love Marlene and I know she is worrying about me “Yeah I need to get away, I need to find myself and be happy”
“Ok sweetie, I will take care of your home and you promise me that you’ll take care of yourself”
“I will” I give her a hug and leave my old life behind.
I reach my car, it’s just a saloon nothing fancy.  James could never understand why I didn’t buy a sports car, I guess it was some kind of status symbol to him. I make the journey to James’ place. It used to be our Mum and Dad’s house, when they died it all went to my brother, I’m not bothered anyway I didn’t want it. I pull up to the electric gates and enter the code and watch the iron gates swing open in front of me, I slowly make my way up the drive and pull up next to James’ car not quite believing he’s home already.
I get out my car and hear the screams accompanied by the little bodies of Elizabeth and Victoria racing towards me.
“Aunt Camilla! Aunt Camilla! Come and see our new dog!”
“Hello girls. What’s this I’m hearing about a new dog?” I say as they both grab one of my hands and drag me towards the house
“Daddy got us a dog, he says that since you’re leaving he got us something to use up our energy” I knew he would try and make me feel guilty in some way…
“Oh I see, yes I’m leaving for a while but I’m not going far, you will be able to come and stay with me in the holidays won’t you?”
“Really?!” they scream together and race the rest of the way to the house shouting “We’re going to stay with Aunt Camilla!”
I reach the door and take a deep breath, I hope it’s not going to be another round of James trying to make me stay. I’m met at the door by Suzie, James’ wife. They have been married for ten years, although she’s really nice to me there’s something about her I don’t quite like.
“Evening Camilla” she smiles and I know it’s not genuine.
“Hi Suzie, I hear you have a new dog?”
“Yes. Not my idea, it’s out the back in the garden”
“Oh, I see James is home”
“First time in three months he’s been home before seven”
I’m sure if I was James I would stay at the office late too, she’s a miserable bitch. Now the girls are gorgeous and funny a bit more like my family, well that’s what I like to think.
After an hour playing with the girls and agreeing that they will in fact come and stay with me as soon as possible it’s time to leave, I give Suzie a brief hug, the girls a big hug each then turn to James
“Promise me you will keep in touch” I think he is a be a bit sad that I’m leaving
“I will, I will ring once a week, on a Friday”
“Ok, and don’t get spending too much time with William either”
“James I can’t promise that” I hug him and walk to the door, I hear Victoria start to cry so I quickly leave and jump in the car. It’s only an hour’s drive to Latton. I make my way down the drive then ring Will telling him that I’ll be with him by nine and he promises that he’ll be there waiting for me.

Chapter 3
Greyson

I eventually make it to first class after being photographed in the airport, I look and feel rough and Nikki must have seen the photos as she has already rang to give me a bollocking. I relax back in my seat as the air hostess greets me and gets me a whiskey, I like to think of it as hair of the dog and that I don’t really want it.  We are half way into the flight as I start to feel better the hostess is taking great care of me, when she leans in and asks if there is anything else she can do for me, I give her a smile and make my way to the restroom, I take care of business when there is a knock at the door, I flick the lock over and open the door slightly and it’s the hostess, she smiles at me as I open the door a bit wider and she squeezes in.
