caused
him to still until it passed. He took a step and was surprised when
Angel reached out and touched him on the back of his leg.
“Please stay, Bishop. Don’t make me feel bad
for making you sleep on the sofa.” Her tone was low and tired
sounding. “There’s room for both of us in this bed and I promise
not to take advantage of you.” She yawned loudly.
He couldn’t make the same declaration.
Bishop knew the bed would be a hell of a lot more comfortable than
the sofa below. He was big and tall but that wasn’t what was
keeping him from jumping at the chance of sinking into a nice bed
after months on assignment in the jungle. It was Angel, and his
body’s need for her. Would he be able to keep his hands off
her?
The truth was, he was too damn tired to try
anything tonight. With a heavy sigh he walked around to the other
side of the bed and laid down.
    Whatever happens, happens.

Chapter 3

Angel rolled onto her back and stretched,
moaning low. The morning sun was shining into the windows, bringing
with it a pleasant warmth. She kicked the sheet aside and glanced
over at Bishop. He was wide awake, his gaze fixed on her. How long
had he been looking at her? She smiled automatically. “Good
morning.”
“Good morning.” He reached forward and
picked up a lock of her hair, bringing it to his nose. “I think it
was a mistake us sharing this bed, Angel.”
“Why?” Her tone was just a whisper. He was
so handsome. No, on second thought handsome wasn’t the right
description. Not with his military haircut, strong square jaw, and
the scars marring his chest and arms. Bishop was appealing in a
sexy, warrior kind of way.
The silence that followed had her wondering
what he’d been thinking that had put the sensual look in his eyes.
His tone was low but it didn’t lessen the impact his words had on
her. “Because I want you.”
He wants me? Why did that surprise
her? She’d been thinking about him all night. Even in her dreams.
There’d always been something about him that attracted her in the
pictures Diana had shown her and the stories she’d shared, but
meeting him in person took her breath away. As soon as she’d
realized who he was the night before she’d decided that she wanted
him, in an intimate way. And he’d just opened the door. Did she
dare walk through it?
Deciding actions speak louder than words,
Angel reached up and wrapped her hand around the back of his thick
neck. He showed no resistance as she pulled his head down until
their lips touched. And that’s when Bishop lost control. Groaning
low in his throat, he rolled on top of her and ground his mouth
over hers. His passion fueled hers and, opening her mouth, she
invited his probing tongue inside.
It was their first lustful kiss, filled with
more fire and emotion than Angel had ever experienced before.
Bishop thrust his hips into hers, letting her feel the full aroused
power of his cock. What they were doing was crazy! But crazy had
never felt so good! She parted her thighs and his lower body moved
in between them as if they were pieces of a puzzle. A cry of
pleasure escaped her when his cock brushed against the mound of her
sensitive pussy.
Bishop kissed his way down her throat and
over her shoulders, moving the thin material of her nightshirt
aside when it got in his way. Angel twisted and arched beneath him,
unable to remain still as his warm mouth moved over her. She sensed
an urgency about him, struggling with an inner battle inside of him
and trying not to give into it. As he continued to move down her
body his hands took the edges of her shirt and tugged it open.
She gasped, trembling wildly when his lips
caressed her breasts, ending with the tips in his mouth. He tongued
nipped at her nipples until Angel couldn’t take it anymore. She
raked her nails down his backside and inched her hands beneath the
waistband of his boxers, taking hold of his taut, straining butt
cheeks. He grunted, grinding
