constant.
He was going to literally kill me. My breath hitched, and my hips moved against his mouth, which only drove him on even more.
"Mmmmm, baby, that's it, Brook," he murmured against my body.
My muscles trembled, and my body began to convulse around his fingers and spasm against his tongue.  "Cade, oh Cade...mmmmm..." I moaned his name as I came hard, my back arching, hands going into his hair as I jerked with the strength of my response.
His touch lightened and finally stopped and then he moved up and kissed me deeply on the mouth.  Sliding his arms around me and under my legs, he moved me up onto the pillows and crawled in next to me.
I snuggled into his body and wrapped my arms around him at the same time as his folded around me to pull me close.  The warmth from his body was seeping into mine as I tilted my head up and ran a series of soft kisses along his jaw.  It was stubbly and rough, but I loved it.
"How do you do that? You're so unreal."
"Do what, exactly?" he teased and turned to kiss my temple, leaving his lips to linger there.
"Know how to touch me, what to do to make me melt, and how to stop just at the right moment?"
"Are you serious?" His breath washed over my hair at the top of my head as he spoke softly.  His velvet voice was so gentle in the dark, a slight smile behind his words.
"Yes.  I mean, it's just so..."
"Love, I know you .  I literally know every inch of your body. I know the way you respond to my touch, my kiss, my tongue. I can tell by the little tremors, the way you moan my name, how you get tight, where you're at, how close you are.  I told you before; I replay every moment we're together over in my mind.  I love that I can bring you to that, I love that you can bring me to that, and I love that I can choose."
My brow dropped over my forehead.  "What?  Choose?"
"Yes.  I can choose how fast to make you come, based on what we're doing or if I want to make it last longer.  If I want I can do that, and I want to, often.  I love the sounds you make, the way you smell and taste, the way you move and respond.  It's so hot. Bloody hell, just talking about it makes me rock hard."
I closed my eyes at the reverence in his words.  He took my breath away.
"Unbelievable," I breathed into the skin of his neck.
"Why is that? Can't you tell yet, how much I fucking love you?  How much you make me want you?" He turned more toward me and took my leg over his hip as he pressed into me. "Jesus, I can't think about anything else.  It consumes me day and night."
I surged against him, desire at his words and arousal was making it impossible for me to do anything else. "I love you, so much.  You make my heart ache with how much."
"God, Brook, we're going to die if we don't start getting some sleep, but damn if I care. I'll sleep in bloody New York."
My heart tightened at the reminder of our pending separation.  He was right, this time wasn't to be squandered on something as meaningless as sleep.
He rolled me over and sank slowly into my body as his mouth found mine, and I met his hungry demands.  Each long, slow thrust of his body into mine, each sucking motion of his mouth, both of us clinging and pulling each other closer; we made love like it was the last time.
Emotion welled in my chest and I knew Cade felt it too.  Just like he knew me, I knew him as well, and the longing we felt now was only a fraction of what we'd have to deal with in the coming months.
I wouldn't think about that now, as I lost myself in him.

I MOVED OFF TO the side as I waited for Martin to get the lighting checks right.  Jennifer, Wendy and I were filming retakes of a scene in the Matthews boys’ apartment, just after Julia comes home from the hospital. Cade was running rehearsals first and then filming the scene where Ethan’s character, Aaron, tells Ryan of Julia’s accident.
Even though it was just a scene, it was unsettling. Cade and I were about to have a long
