Assariyah
powder, I retouched my lips with my pink Dior lip gloss. I was good to go. My face looked right, my body was banging in my tight, figure hugging, body-con dress. All my curves were on display. At that moment I was grateful for all the extra Pilates sessions I had been attending recently.
I looked hot as hell, it was only right that I made someone’s night bright.
“Yo girl, are you ready to bounce?” Jasmina asked.
I had to laugh, Jasmina knew me too well, there was one thing I loved more than men and that was me. I could look at myself all day without getting bored. Some called me vain, maybe I was but I was just appreciating God’s creation. After all he had blessed me in the beauty department and to deny that would just be ungrateful.
The party had filled out even more in the last ten minutes that Jasmina and I had been in the bathroom. We went to the bar and ordered double shots of Grey Goose to get us loose. Whilst at the bar I spotted me a hottie. He had to be at least 6ft 2”, pure chocolate in complexion and his body was chiseled to perfection. It was clear that he was attracted to me as much as I was to him, we couldn’t keep our eyes off each other. After five minutes of flirtatious glances he finally walked over to me.
“You look so beautiful, I just had to come and talk to you.”
On that note Jasmina excused herself and told me she would catch up with me later.
With Jasmina gone, he introduced himself as Tyler.
“Nice to meet you Tyler, I’m Assariyah.”
“That’s a beautiful name for a beautiful lady.”
He was full of compliments that made me blush.
“Flattery will get you everywhere,” I said with a slight chuckle.
The conversation between us flowed smoothly, I asked him what he did for a living and he informed me that he was a private fitness instructor.
“Ummm that explains why you are in such a great shape,” I stated, feeling on his biceps.
He pointed to my abs with a smile on his face, “I can tell you are a fitness junkie too.” I laughed and told him I was far from a fitness junkie but I liked to keep my body looking and feeling tight.
“You know too much jiggling just isn’t cute.”
We both cracked up laughing and exchanged numbers as he promised to give me a good workout session.
The DJ was on top of his game that night playing all my favourite old skool tracks from ‘Push It’ by Salt ‘n’ Pepa to Ghost Town DJ’s ‘My Boo’.
“Oooh that is my song,” I screeched track after track.
Tyler couldn’t stop laughing at my random outburst.
    “Wanna dance?”
Feeling slightly worried about Jasmina I hesitated before accepting his offer. I guess he could sense my concern because he pointed to Jasmina who was dancing with a guy. I felt relieved knowing that Jas was not alone after all. I took Tyler’s hand and led him to the centre of the room and began to gyrate my hips slowly to the beat of the music. This was clearly a turn on for Tyler, I could feel the pressure of his growing manhood against my butt and I cannot even front, I loved the way he felt on me. This was the perfect way to spend my Saturday. I wanted to dance on him all night.
In need of a nicotine fix Tyler wanted to pop outside so he could satisfy his craving. With his profession I was surprised to find out that he was a smoker. I hated the smell of cigarettes and, on a normal day, I would have declined his offer but I decided to go with him. I needed the fresh air anyway, the room was starting to get a little too steamy. He pulled out a packet of Marlboro cigarettes with a lighter shaped in the form of a naked woman. He offered me a cancer stick, shaking my head, I refused. I watched him light his desire and for a brief moment I felt sad. Noticing my mood had changed, Tyler questioned me.
    “Hey are you okay?”
“Yeah, I am fine,” I replied with a little smile trying to sound convincing but truth be told I was in a dark place right then.
Thoughts of my friend Shelia came to mind.
