,” Tyson said. “Let pretty boy run his mouth. That’s all he knows how to do. Anything else and he might break a nail.”
“Is that right? ” Dilvan inched closer to Tyson like he was going to sucker punch him.
“Dilvan, don’t come up in my face. I didn’t come here for this,” Tyson grunted.
“Dude, you got some nerve,” Dilvan said , still walking in Tyson’s direction. “You try to steal my girl and now you got beef with me.”
Tyson looked at Dilvan, not paying attention to what he was saying, but watching his mouth move. Dilvan just kept on yapping, going on and on about how Tyson stole Gabrielle from him.
Meanwhile, Tyson was having flashbacks of Gabrielle naked on the bathroom floor, sitting in a pool of blood because Dilvan had pushed her there. She was cold, shaking, crying and scared. Dilvan did that to her. She was damaged. Dilvan did that to her. She was broken. Dilvan did that to her. Certain parts of her body were covered with bruises. Dilvan did that to her. Now, Dilvan was in his face, issuing threats and being rowdy and aggressive.
Before he knew what happened, Tyson had cranked his arm back and punched Dilvan in the jaw with one fist and the nose with the other. He hit him so hard, he knocked him off balance, causing Dilvan to fall back onto the tiled floor. Then Tyson leaped on top of him like a ferocious lion, punching him in the face, serving him blow after blow before Heshan and Prasad were able to pull him off of their brother.
Huffing and puffing, his adrenaline pumping, Tyson roared, “What’s wrong Dilvan?” watching Dilvan wipe his bloody nose. “You like to beat up on women, but you can’t go toe-to-toe with a man, huh?”
“Calm down, Tyson,” Heshan said, trying to stand between Tyson and Dilvan.
“Tell your ignorant brother to calm down! Don’t tell me to calm down with this fool jumping up in my face like he ‘bout it!”
Dilvan stood up, trying to catch his balance and said, “You better be glad Heshan is holding you back.”
Tyson flashed an eerie smirk. “No, you better be glad Heshan is holding me back!”
“Let him go, Heshan,” Dilvan instructed his brother, staggering towards Tyson yet again.
Adrenaline pumping, Tyson pushed Heshan away from him and reaching for Dilvan, he yelled, “Get at me!”
“Tyson!” Heshan said, struggling to keep Tyson calm and away from Dilvan. If he got his hands on Dilvan again, he’d probably knock the wind out of him this time. “Tyson, calm down, man.”
“Tell your brother to calm down before I snap his neck!”
“Yeah, everybody knows you’re good at that, murderer,” Dilvan taunted, still dabbing blood from his nose.
“Dilvan, stop, bro! ” Prasad said. “Just quit it, man.”
“Why’s everyone telling me to stop?” Dilvan questioned. “You need to be trying to tame that lunatic.”
“ You beat up on women and I’m the lunatic...” Tyson responded.
“Dilvan, w hy don’t you go get some paper towels and stop your nose from bleeding,” Prasad suggested. “If Mother finds out what’s going on in this kitchen, she’ll have a heart attack.”
“ Everything will be just fine as long as she tells her good-for-nothing son to stay out of here,” Tyson said angrily. “He ain’t been coming around here. Why the sudden interest now?”
“Man, shut up! ” Dilvan blurted out, sounding juvenile. “You steal my woman and now you’re mad at me.”
“ For something to be stolen, it has to be owned first. You never had Gabrielle to start with. She came to live with me because you were beating on her. Let’s get that straight. Secondly, I gave her an out. I told her to go back to you if that’s what she wanted, and guess what, pretty boy? She still didn’t go back to you because now, she knows what it’s like to be with a real man.”
“ Whatever.”
“You didn’t know how to treat her. All you did was abuse her. Now, watch me take your girl from you, Dilvan. ”
“Nah...watch
