them are solely responsible for and then run the teleportation again, identically to how it was run before but over double distance. Another breath taking flash of cyan light and the hamster is again, on the pad. However this time the hamster is fully conscious and begins squeaking straight away.

“Ahaha, see guys he’s getting used to it now aren’t you little buddy?” Johns says as he retrieves the hamster to weight it. “109 grams…. Still….”
The team then look at each other as the weight and distance hypothesis has just been dismissed.
“What could it be?” Alex asks

Paul replies “Look, let’s not focus on this too much; it could have been an error in some part of the process, of just an anomaly. We’ll test the Monkey as scheduled and see what happens there whilst observing the hamster for any changes in colour as some proteins may have gone missing- hence the missing mass”
The team agree to overlook this result and then begin working hard on the calculations for the next step. The monkey.

Chapter 2- Monkey Business

One week later, after preparation to transport the monkey, all seems to be going well. FTR have had a colossal rise in shareholders and are now market leaders, even making companies like Apple and Microsoft projected profits look like pocket money with the sheer amount of planned orders and investments. At this point, the most talked about people on earth are the Elite 4 and FTR. It has reached the point where the Elite 4, and every senior manager in FTR have to be escorted to and from work with armed guards to safeguard their ‘assets’.
The elite 4 have been spending their money- actu ally the term splashing out is more relevant in this case, on very nice and expensive new things. However John, has gone insane with his money; he has purchased: a Buggatti Veyron, Ferrari 360 Moderna, Nissan 360z; and that’s not the end, he has Armani Suits and Fossil Watches, and not to mention the chartered Gulfstream 6 Jet sitting an Heathrow airport…
They are all living the dream; life could not get any better.
    Friday 08:03
This morning is a hazy one. The sun’s fiery rays are battling fiercely to burn off what is left of the mist and is slowly prevailing. John awakens to a gap in the curtains where the sun is once more beating through and he squints as he tried to focus his tired eyes to wake up fully. After he slowly arises, he walks past the curtains, he feels the warm heat stroking the right side of his body which to him feels sensational, so his smile is massive as he glances at a photo frame with a picture of himself and Alex horsing around in a park. The boy is in love and this heightens every sense, making him appreciate life more now than ever before.

The team gradually turn up to work, one by one which is unusual now. Alex and John say they ‘lift share’ when actually John is staying at Alex’s most nights. The separate journey today is because John had some family business to take care of.  However Alex is late on this occasion and John begins to worry a little.
    “Oh where’s Alex?” Asks John
“Why? I thought you would know of all people…” Paul mutters
“Why would I know? You’re the boss around here!” John cleverly replies.

As soon as John finished that clever reply, Alex walks in the door. John is first to notice and his jaw once more hits the floor. She has her lab coat clutched in hand and she is wearing black high heels with her red toe nails on display. She has long, smooth and tanned legs underneath a black and silver dress that hugs her perfect figure in all of the right places. Her blonde hair is long and very vibrant, so much so it seems to reflect every particle of light in the room. Her lips are devil red, and her eye lashes perfectly grace her big beautiful blue eyes. She looks stunning and as she walks by John with a simple “Hi” then he notices her luscious fragrance and goes red in
