pigman striking it with great force and saving Lucy.
Lucy sighed with relief. âThanks Max!â
The gang made their way past pools of lava, watching carefully as they approached the Nether Fortress.
âI see someone entering the Nether Fortress,â Kyra said. âWe need to get there before that person gets the treasure and the Nether Wart.â
âAnd I think itâs Thomas!â Adam shouted to the gang.

THOMAS, CAN YOU HEAR ME?
â T homas?â Adam called out in the majestic Nether Fortress, but no one answered.
âThomas, are you there?â asked Kyra, but again there was no response.
Adam tried again. âThomas, can you hear me?â Adam sounded defeated.
âAre you sure you saw Thomas?â asked Kyra.
âIâm certain. He was wearing a brown helmet like he always wears when he goes exploring.â
âBut I thought he was missing,â said Lucy.
âHe usually tells me when he is going to explore, so I was worried. Especially when somebody stole all of my potions. It just seemed as if somebody was out to get me,â said Adam.
âI felt that way too,â said Steve.
Suddenly in the distance they spotted a person in a brown helmet running past them.
âThomas!â Adam called out again.
The person sprinted away.
âI guess it wasnât him,â said Adam sadly.
âWe are wasting time.â Lucy told the group. âHenry is missing. Letâs just get the Nether Wart and go back to the Overworld.â
In most Nether Fortresses, Nether Wart is found along the sides of the stairs, but this Nether Fortress was barren. There was no Nether Wart.
âWe need to find another Nether Fortress. The person who was here before us must have taken all of the Nether Wart,â said Max.
âAre you sure there isnât Nether Wart in any of the other rooms?â asked Lucy.
âYes, I checked the other rooms while you waited by the Nether Brick Staircase,â said Adam. âThis Nether Fortress has been emptied. Iâm sure the treasure is gone too. We must find a new fortress.â
Looking out on the horizon, they only saw fields of Netherrack and pools of lava. The group was growing weary of this trip to the Nether. It was beginning to seem like a waste of time when they had to save Henry.
âMy food bar is very low,â said Steve.
âMine too. I donât think I have enough energy to walk another step, and I definitely canât make it to another Nether Fortress,â Kyra added.
âLucy and I also have low food bars,â said Max. âWeâre almost depleted.â One more attack from a hostile mob would leave them with barely enough strength to survive.
âThatâs why I donât like The Nether,â Steve complained. âThereâs no food here and it can destroy you.â
âI still have a lot of energy. I could build train tracks,â suggested Adam, âand we can move through the Nether quickly on a train. You can get to another Nether Fortress without you using any food bars.â
âA train is a great idea,â said Lucy.
Adam started working, using all of his energy to lay tracks and create a train on the Netherrack ground.
The group waited as Adam worked on the train, trying to use as little energy as possible.
âI hope he doesnât take too long,â said Lucy, âI want to find Henry.â
âWe have to be patient,â said Steve, âAdamâs right, we need to find Nether Wart. This griefer has taken hold of our resources. And who knows how much damage the griefer has done since weâve been gone. The griefer could have destroyed my home.â
âI donât even have a home,â Kyra said glumly.
The complaining came to a halt when a small magma cube jumped toward Max. Its menacing orange and yellow eyes stared at Max as it readied itself for an attack. Max fumbled for his bow and arrow. The cube
