asked his friend Casey to watch over her while he was gone.  To make sure she was safe but also to make sure no other men were sniffing around.  His wolf had howled and protested about being away from her but had been mildly placated with the daily reports Casey gave him.  Of course Casey couldn’t watch her every minute of every day...
She had apparently spent the week working or staying at home for the most part.  Casey had told him his woman was very boring.  To which Mal had snarled and Casey had chuckled.
She placed a large mug of coffee in front of him and taking a gamble six slices of buttered toast.  “Not much, mostly just work.  Today’s my first day off in three weeks.”
She sat down opposite him and nibbled on her two slices whilst he wolfed his own down.
“So shopping huh?  Let me guess, new underwear?”  He smiled lasciviously at her.
She flushed.  “Actually no, my sister’s pregnant with her first boy so we’re going to buy some clothes.”  Her face darkened slightly.
Mal knew her sister was a baby making machine, he’s seen the numerous pictures dotted around Terri’ s cottage but didn’t realise it bothered her.
“What about lunch?  Meet me for lunch?”
“I can’t, we’re going to make a day of it, the three of us.”
His face showed the frustration he felt, she was always difficult to pin down about making plans and they hadn’t been out together in three weeks.  In fact they’d actually only ever been out together twice and both times were with a group of friends.  “What about this evening?”
“It’s the pack pot luck.  Rosalee invited me, I said I’d go, I can’t back out.”
He remembered he was supposed to go to that too.   He reached over and took her hand.  “I’ll pick you up and we can go together.”
She wanted to protest but he gave her such a puppy dog look she daren’t say no.  “Okay, pick me up at five?”
He grinned from ear to ear.  “Definitely.”
He rose unexpectedly and her eyes fixed on his erection, he was fully hard again.  He walked past his clothes to the door.
    “Where are you going?”
“To have a shower baby.”  His eyes sparkled with mischief.  “Race you?”  He ran off taking the stairs two at a time, his laughter echoing through her small house.
To hell with it.   She followed him, sinful thoughts bouncing through her mind.

Terri groaned.  The day was interminable.  They must have been to every shop that sold baby clothes in Alexandria and still had not bought anything.  None of the clothes were good enough. Too ugly, too bright, too dull, not the right material...
They were sat in a coffee shop having a drink and cake.  Well at least Terri was having a cake.  Her mother Mai Lin never partook of anything sweet.  Wouldn't want any sweetness to seep into her personality.   Her sister Jessica was on a permanent diet, which had started when she was 11 years old, and continued even during her numerous pregnancies. She looked at Terri’s plate disapprovingly. A moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips.
Terri looked at her watch impatiently.  It was 2.30pm.  It would take her an hour to get home, and she would need at least an hour to achieve a natural 'I've just thrown this on' look for when Mal picked her up.  She should also shower again.  She felt sweaty from wa lking around all day and she hadn't had time to wash her hair that morning.  Mal had taken her against the tiled wall of the shower twice, almost pounding her through the wall with his enthusiasm.  Warmth radiated through her womb at the memory.  She had to take her mind off him...
She studied her family.  Her mother and sister were immaculate as always. Dressed in chic suits, Jessica's baby bump barely showing, they looked elegant and sophisticated. Terri felt like a heifer.  An unkempt heifer at that .
Her mother spent hours and exorbitant amounts of money maintaining her perfect appearance, whilst Jessica took
