The Boyfriend Experience
to continue. He slumped onto her, his
face buried in the crook of her neck.
    “You slacker.”
He chuckled. “I tried, baby. I couldn’t help
it.”
“Psh! What am I paying you for?”
He laughed again, rolling onto the mattress
beside her. She was smiling, her face flushed. He kissed her and
told her she was beautiful. She accused him of trying to change the
subject.
“Give me a few minutes and I’m all
yours.”
“You better be,” she said and climbed on top
of him, her warm sex now pressed onto his. She beamed at him before
bending to kiss him. He ran his hands over her thighs, rubbing her
backside. She wriggled on top of him, letting him feel her wetness.
As she shifted there, taking hold of his hands and pinning them to
the mattress above his head, she growled softly. His sex was
already responding to her.
    “Oh, a few minutes, huh?”
    ***
He sat up on the edge of the bed, scanning
the floor for his clothes, but feeling little inspiration to
collect them. He was tired and warm and more than willing to curl
into that bed and sleep with her, but the time was up. He had to
leave.
“You’re the best birthday present ever.”
Stephen chuckled. “I’m glad you think
so.”
She shifted to him on the edge of the bed,
pressing her bare breasts to his back as she embraced him. This did
not help fuel his desire to leave. They’d ended up making love
several times in their three hours, including one last time in the
shower as a close to the evening. She smelled of shampoo and soap,
though the scent of their activities still lingered in the
room.
    “I’m actually considering adding another
appointment. Once a year isn’t nearly enough.”
    “Oh really?”
    “Yeah. What about Valentine’s Day?”
He took her hand and kissed it. “I’m booked
on Valentine’s Day.”
She moved to meet his gaze. Her makeup had
shifted, leaving her eyes smoky, but bright. She was smiling.
“Well, maybe I should just let you hire me
on your birthday.”
He laughed. “Oh yeah, you thinking of
getting into the business?”
“No, but I might make an exception for
you.”
He raised his eyebrows and scratched his
chin, appraising her. “Hmm, mmyes.”
    “I’ll definitely be more expensive
though.”
“I bet you’re worth every penny.”
They both glanced at the clock - 9:50. She
whined and kissed him before slumping back down onto the mattress.
He stood up and bent to retrieve his boxers at the foot of the bed.
She gave a few appreciative catcalls when he let the towel fall to
the floor. He began getting dressed, and by the time he was lifting
his jacket from the counter, the urge to leave was as weak as it
had been when he lay beside her. Still, the time had come. She
stood and crossed the room, collecting her own dress from the
floor. He put his jacket on and straightened his tie.
“Will you do me a favor before you go?”
He turned to find her standing with her back
to him, her dress zipper open down her back. He let his fingers
graze her skin as he zipped up the back of her dress. He couldn’t
help but note that she wasn’t wearing underwear.
She turned, threw her arms around his neck
and kissed him deeply, her fingers firmly gripping his hair. He
held her around the waist, remembering the initial touch of that
evening, a touch that had occurred where they now stood. She
released him and he again glanced at the clock.
    10:01
“I had a wonderful time,” she said, walking
him to the door.
    “Always a pleasure.”
He kissed her cheek and squeezed her one
more time, inhaling the smell of her before walking out into the
stark hallway. The latch of the door clicked behind him.
He stood in the empty hallway, the same gray
carpet, same modern wall sconces and geometric light. He walked a
few feet down the hall and pulled his wallet out of his inside
jacket pocket. He opened the billfold and pulled out a thin band of
white gold. He slid the ring back onto his finger.
He tapped his wallet on the table
