yank his chain.
“I want you to be inquisitive, Harrison. If you have a question about sex, or the female body, I want you to ask it here. If you want to see something, tell me. I will show you anything. Teach you anything. It’s the whole point of our being here.”
Her words seemed to echo his thoughts, and his mind disintegrated into chaos. What little clarity he had attained after the orgasm wouldn’t last long with her wandering around in that teddy thing. And, God, those heels. He cleared his throat nervously and tried to be casual in his nudity.
“How did I get chosen for this? My dad just told me a few things, and put a paper with your address in my hand.”
Her dark lips spread in a smile. “Your father signed you up the day you were born.”
Harrison frowned. “Are you serious? Eighteen years ago?”
“To the day. April eighteenth, nineteen-eighty-four.”
She was quiet for a moment and it looked as if she were gathering her thoughts. She stared out the dark window into the night and ran her fingers over her thigh.
“The Awakening Society was created by my great-great-grandmother back in Prohibition times. She was a ‘kept woman’, and it chafed. She thought that if the women at home could take better care of their men, they’d have better home lives. So she taught a group of women what the men wanted. And things did improve. Then the women had the idea to teach the young boys before they became men. The Awakening Society was created to teach those men what was expected by Southern women before they were ruined by their peers with whoring and drink.”
Harrison was fascinated. “So, your family started it?”
“Yes, a hundred and some years ago. There are a few other branches across the South, but in Savannah, the Society will end with me. And you.”
    “Why do you say that?”
A frown wrinkled her brow and she looked down, letting her long hair shield her face. “Well, Harrison, I’ll let you in on a secret. I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I believe I’ve done a good job over the years, but I can’t have children. So, there’s no one to carry on the heritage. Besides, I want something different for my future. I want to travel, and find a man to settle down with someday. Can you imagine trying to explain the Society to a man you were in love with?”
That was understandable. “So, how often do you…” he made a motion at them.
“Bring a young man over? You’re the first, and last, this year. That’s another reason for the Society to fade into obscurity. Very few people actually remember the Society and its purposes - only the very oldest of families.” She looked at him pointedly.
The Walker family was one of the oldest in the area. He could trace his ancestry back hundreds of years.
Harrison wondered what she did to support herself. The antiques surrounding him were valuable, and the big old walk-up house was well-kept. That much even he could see. Did she take money to do this?
Those eyes narrowed in humor as she seemed to read his mind. “I run a digital real estate company for the Savannah area. It enables me to be flexible, so to speak, when I need my evenings free. I don’t take money from the Society.”
He had no idea what a digital realtor did, but it sounded like it paid well, so he left it at that. The fact that she wasn’t a paid… entertainer eased his mind. She was watching him patiently, waiting for more questions, and he had to wonder how this was going to affect her.
“Well, if this is your last ‘Awakening’, what can I do to make it more memorable for you?”
Tonya’s pretty brown eyes saddened for a brief second before she laughed. “Oh, Harrison. You’ve already made it memorable. Thank you for thinking of me though.” Her gaze lowered, and he felt it land on his semi-erect cock. “Now, if you don’t have any more questions, let’s move on. Come here.”
She sat up on the couch and motioned him forward. Gulping, he forced his
