Chapter Three

She was flying. Holy shit. She was up in the
air with her stone warrior and he’d just saved her from a rampaging
Patrick. Oops. They kinda left him in the fountain. She couldn’t
find the ability to care. He’d hit her. She whimpered when she felt
the prickles of pain in her cheekbone. She reached up and rubbed
lightly. Bethany looked up at the stone man she’d come to think of
as a friend. He was a silent comfort, like so many of the heroes in
her books.
    “Thank you—I mean—for saving me?”
He looked down at her and she lifted her
hand, cupping his cheek like she’d done so many other times
before.
“I would’ve taken you sooner. But you
seemed—content.”
“I’ve never been content.” She breathed
out.
Shit. He was one of those men. The kind that
made smart women stupid and swoony. Oh, God. Please don’t
swoon!
Bethany must’ve looked panicked because he
laughed and then started to drop them down. She dug her nails into
his warm stone flesh as she caught sight of the large home on top
of a hill. The Hollywood sign was very close to where he was
landing. How had they gotten to Hollywood so quick? She banished
the thought when he landed on the hard ground that surrounded a
very geometric—shaped pool. It was all modern lines and very clean.
The man didn’t set her down; he marched them into the house. The
walls of the home were made up of glass—windows.
He slid her slowly down his body, and she
felt every solid inch of him.
“Mm. My little Beth. You make a man’s cock
ache.”
Bethany sucked in her bottom lip and
swallowed. His gaze travelled to her throat and watched it work on
that action before his hand came out and his fingers trailed over
her skin. He circled the hollow of her throat and she trembled.
“Responsive. Is your whole body that
responsive, Beth?”
    “Yes,” she whispered.
“I like Beth. I also like mine . We
will save that for when my dick is bottomed out inside you.”
Her mouth dropped open and he didn’t give her
much time to respond before he was shifting. Slowly the stone
melted away, and all those hard, sharp lines exposed a man. The
man. The handsome man that had told her all those things outside
the library.
Bethany took a step back, shaking her head.
She blinked a few times then opened her eyes wide to make sure this
was all real. That hot guy. He was naked, and God, he looked good
naked.
She looked him over—she tried not to, but she
couldn’t help it. Bethany dared anyone to be in a room with a man
this beautiful and not stare. Her gaze went right to his cock,
which was pointing—hard, thick, and long—right at her.
    “Oh, shit.”
    “Oh, fuck.”
She jerked her gaze up and he was smirking at
her. Bethany glared back at him. She tried to seem fierce, and not
totally aroused.
    “You’re mocking me.”
    “No.”
“Yes. You are. I don’t like it.” She wrapped
her arms around her middle and stepped back.
“No! You will not hide from me!”
He was on her before she could fight him
back. Her shirt was ripped down the front and it exposed the silly
black lace bra that Patrick had forced her to buy. Her boobs were
huge, and they puckered out of the top of her bra. His warm hands
skimmed over the mounds, and gooseflesh bubbled to the surface. Her
eyes fluttered shut and she arched into the touch.
“That’s it. Come to me, little one.”
“Name,” she mumbled. It was the only response
she could muster.
“Deacon,” he rumbled before his lips spread
caressing kisses over her neck, throat, and then over the tops of
her abundant boobs.
His fingers gathered the bra and yanked down
the cups. Her boobs spilled out. Her hard nipples ached in the cool
air around her. Deacon didn’t give her much time to adapt as his
mouth wrapped around the
