beyond.
If it were up to her, his hands would have crossed that line
and entered the taboo arena.
This slow seduction was killing her and turning her on
beyond belief at the same time. Though part of her wanted nothing more than to
throw down right there, another part of her relished every second of his
attention. The slow glide of his palms made the stockings feel even more
enticing against her flesh.
Yep, she definitely loved the sensations. Silk against skin,
warmth from his hands, chills up her spine and a wanting ache in her pussy. He
was a master masseur with the ability to increase her pulse and draw out her
needs with a gentle sweep of his palms.
She did her best to focus but found it extremely difficult.
There was something else she was supposed to do, but no matter how hard she
tried, the thought wouldn’t emerge from the erotic fog that warped her brain.
The moment he released her legs, it startled Cammie to see a
bead of moisture had formed on his brow. Desire hooded his gaze and his
expression left nothing to the imagination.
Sex, pure and simple, filled his thoughts.

Chapter Two

For over a month, Scott had been secreting away from the
overwhelming world called life and indulging in a private passion.
Luck had crossed their paths the day he’d first laid eyes on
Cammie in the bank. He’d never forget that initial image, from the delicate
pink satin blouse and black ruffled lace skirt right down to the strappy black
high-heels. But it was the whisper of her silk stockings that had caught and
held his attention.
Unless one was a stocking connoisseur, one missed the
distinctly arousing sound a pair of expensive hosiery made when a woman walked.
Especially on this particular woman. Instant fascination blossomed and
he had to know her identity.
He had chosen not to approach her in the bank and bring
unwanted attention to either of them. He’d followed her into the coffee shop
next door, instead, and accidentally bumped into her, starting a casual
conversation that began with “I’m sorry” and ended with him buying her coffee
and acquiring her name. Learning she owned a lingerie shop excited him more
than it should have.
He’d waited several weeks before curiosity finally led him
across her threshold. He had to get more acquainted with the woman he only knew
as Cammie Cartwright, owner of Sinful Treasures, a lingerie specialty shop.
Even now, he feared the press would discover he had a “love
interest” and their overbearing intrusiveness would destroy the budding
relationship before it could begin. Why they chose to hound him, he would never
understand. He was a businessman, not a Hollywood star. But he’d drawn the
spotlight while dating an actress, something he’d decided he’d never do
again. He blamed her for putting him on the photogs’ radar, constantly leaking
their whereabouts to increase her publicity.
All he’d wanted was someone to spend time with; get to know
her and maybe build a life together. And that was exactly what this was,
with Cammie—the start of something he hoped would last.
But he couldn’t really blame his ex. If he’d known
his life would take such a dramatic public turn, he might have thought twice
about rebuilding the family business, transforming it from the ruined mess his
drunkard father had left when he’d died. Every paper across the country touted
him as a hotshot financial genius—and one of the top five most eligible
billionaire bachelors. His ex just made him more visible.
Damn, he hated both titles. In his opinion, he wasn’t a
genius, just smart enough to find a niche that needed to be filled and willing
to work his ass off to fill it. And the second title brought out the gold
diggers and the crazies not after him, but his money.
When Cammie stepped from the dressing room, every ounce of
air exited his lungs on a whoosh he hoped she didn’t hear and mistake for a
wolf whistle. Scott let his gaze do a slow glide from her breasts to her
