pouring down his face in pleasure. Alex growled against his throat, knowing he was nearing the edge. He lifted his bloody lips from the wound.
“Come, Kal,” he commanded. “Come for me.” He returned to the wound as Kal ejaculated in unending streams against his abdomen. Two thrusts later, Alex joined him, burying his seed deep within Kal’s sweet ass.

Chapter Two

Coming back to reality, Kal realized that he was sitting next to a corpse in an arena with a hard-on. If that wasn’t enough of a reality check, he didn’t know what was. His sword fell from his nerveless fingers to thunk on the ground. He wouldn’t need his weapon anymore. He glanced up as the Ravyns erupted into boisterous cheers. He wished that all of his previous victories had been greeted with such enthusiasm.
After Damian and company had ventured back into the theater and found the two together, they had halted production because Damian had been beyond pissed. He and his brother had argued violently, which led to a three-week-long feud that resulted in Kal being forbidden to go anywhere near Alex. Of course he snuck out to see him, and consequently that was what had led to him being captured by a demon slave trader and whisked away to the godforsaken land of Demontia where he had spent the last five years of his miserable life. He grimaced.
What would Alex think? He shook his head to clear away the past. It didn’t matter. All of that was finished, and he’d learned over the years to leave his innocent bullshit understanding of the world behind him. He’d fought, stolen, lied, and killed to achieve his freedom and have a possible chance to reunite with his vampire lover. He’d be damned if he’d let anyone take that from him. All that mattered was that he was finally going to get to go home. Becoming one of the Ravyns insured his position and allowed him the means to travel the universes. He’d earned it.
“Very well fought, little brother.” Anthony, the leader of the Ravyns, stated, giving him a much-needed help to his feet. He only managed a weak smile at the demon. Another of the brothers he had never met chuckled at his obvious weakness.
“Don’t worry. Anthony will get you in such good shape that this will be a walk in the park in the future. I’m Allasandro by the way,” another Ravyn said, extending his hand to grasp Kal’s limp wrist in greeting. He smiled and gave a nod.
“Nice to meet you,” he said in a rasping voice. Immediately Anthony pulled a pouch of water from his belt and handed it to Kal.
    “Drink, little brother.”
He gratefully chugged the whole thing, allowing it to spill down his chin in a soothing cold wash.
“Do you accept the position as our fifth little brother? Are you willing to give up the life you lead now to embrace a future in our brotherhood?” Druas asked after he’d gotten enough to drink. Kal thought about it and almost flinched at the half truth he had to give.
    “I do,” he said.
He’d gladly give up his present so that in the future he could return to his past. All four brothers threw back their heads and gave blood-curdling howls at his proclamation. Germany, the youngest, slapped him on the back in congratulations.
    “Welcome, brother.”
Is that it? Two weeks of hellish fighting, and that’s it? He grumbled to himself, praying that this wasn’t all there was to it.
“Before we continue with initiation, we want you to meet someone,” Anthony said, gripping Kal’s arm and practically dragging him to the opening of a cave half his height, which the combatants had been forbidden to enter.
One by one, the brothers slithered on their bellies and descended into the earth. Taking a deep breath, Kal dropped to his stomach and followed them to his fate. He dropped in darkness for endless moments before splashing down on slick cave mud. He was surprised to find himself in an ordinary-looking cave with little in it other than the obvious stalagmite.
    “This way,” Druas said
