it, even in
play.”
Sean laughed. “Yeah, that is probably not one of the best
things to call a woman, ever. But what am I supposed to do? I read a bunch of
those BDSM romance books they write for women, and like I said, I looked around
on the internet so I have some idea of what’s popular, but doing some of the
stuff that I saw and read about would make me lose wood faster than seeing my
Aunt Dotty naked.”
“Then don’t do it. Don’t force something to happen if it
doesn’t feel right.” He tapped his lips and examined Sean. “You said your wife
gave you a list of things she didn’t want you to do, right?”
“Yeah, I asked her for it.”
“Smart man. I’d suggest you do anything and everything not
on that list, blow her mind, let a little bit of your inner animal come out.”
Sean tensed and Dr. Andrews shook his head with a small smile. “I’m not saying
you should slap her around, but give her what she’s asking for. Start small,
with something simple like a spanking, and you can go from there. How long have
you two been married?”
“Four years, but we’ve been together for seven.”
“Then you should be able to read your wife well enough to
know when she does or doesn’t like something.” He stood and stretched before
smoothing his lab coat. “Listen, you have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to rock
your woman’s world. Take advantage of it, immerse yourself in your character and
throw yourself into the role one hundred percent. Give her everything she’s
been wanting but has been scared to ask for. She trusted you enough to tell you
her darkest fantasy. Reward her for that.”
Sean grunted and rolled out the kinks in his neck. “Yeah,
you’re right.” He shook out his hands while looking down the road. “Where in
the cabin…is the stuff I asked for?”
“In the armoire in the bedroom. We threw in a few extra
things we thought you might like as well.”
A beep sounded from Dr. Andrews’ pocket, and he pulled out a
cell phone. After scanning the screen, he grunted. “She’s on her way.” He
grabbed his laptop and then took a seat in the small golf cart that had brought
them both here. “If you plan on abducting your sweetheart, you better go hide behind
the cabin. We left some items to help you get into the role.”
The small engine of the golf cart revved to life, and Dr.
Andrews drove down the side road. From the opposite direction came the low hum
of another golf cart, and Sean beat a hasty retreat to his spot behind the
cabin. On a stump sat a bundle of silky white rope, a black blindfold, and set
of handcuffs with a long loop of chain binding them together. He picked up the
handcuffs and made sure they would open with the press of a button before slipping
them on his wrists. The chain in the middle was heavy, but the inside of the
cuffs were lined with padded leather so they wouldn’t chafe his wrists.
The low hum of the golf cart cut through the relative quiet
of the forest, silencing the birds singing in the trees. For the first time
since they landed in Dallas, his nerves were replaced by anticipation. It was
just him, Mary and this elaborate playground for them to have fun in. He needed
to stop thinking this over and let himself go with the flow.
He grabbed the rope and blindfold and unzipped the front of
his orange jumpsuit enough to put the rope inside. Creeping around the side of
the building, he held the chains in his hands so they didn’t make a sound. A
beeping came from the front of the cabin as a golf cart backed up, then drove
away. When the sound of the cart’s engine receded away completely he waited
another moment to be sure no one was with her. A quick glance around the side
showed Mary turning in a slow circle, no doubt examining the forest and trying
to figure out where he was. Damn, she looked good. Her dark hair was held back
by a white cloth headband, and the blue-and-gold cheerleading outfit was a
little tight in all the right places. In fact, he
