with Jon to the mountains. We drove in his dark tinted black BMW out of the city. He loved driving fast and living dangerously. I encouraged it. Once we got to his country lodge I felt a sense of relief come over him and me. It was as if he wasn’t a movie star here, he was just Jon. He was just a man with a woman enjoying each other’s company. For a week we spent every waking minute together. We laughed and played and spent time outdoors. We had romantic dinners that we made together in the kitchen and then ate it wrapped in blankets in front of the fire. We would follow it up with wine and making love on the rug while the fire burned and died. I felt myself growing more and more attached to him, but I knew it was dangerous. That I shouldn’t even think of being more than just a toy he played with on a weekend getaway. As the week drew closer to the end and I knew that I would have to get back to reality something strange happened. He began to look at me in a different way. When we locked eyes he no longer smiled, but looked deeply into me. As though he was looking at the inner core of me. It made me feel vulnerable, but also thrilled me. What was happening here? I tried to brush it off as my imagination. Then when we were packing he looked at me and said,
    “I almost don’t want to go back. I want to stay here forever with you.”
    “That’s very sweet,” I said my voice barely a whisper at his words.
    “Look, I tend to keep my private life private. I don’t want it in the news. I don’t want my girlfriends stalked by the paparazzi. However, this usually makes a girl feel like I’m ashamed of her keeping her hidden. But that is not the case.”
    “Of course not,” I said as my eyes grew wider. He was leading up to something, something big and I could feel it. His accent was thicker and heavier when he got serious and this was no different.
    “I guess what I’m trying to say Reha, is… will you be mine? My girlfriend I mean?”
    I stood in shock for a brief second. I was completely motionless. I had to really process what he said and make sure that it wasn’t my imagination taking over reality.
    “Your girlfriend?” I asked.
    “Yes,” he smiled.
    I threw my arms around his neck and placed soft kisses all over his face. I was so very happy that I couldn’t get a word out. Of course my answer was yes, but he knew that. This was how I went from a mere plain gallery director to the girlfriend of one of the biggest movie stars on the planet. It does happen, and this time, it happened to me.

CHAPTER ONE
    The letter in my hand was haunting me just as it had been for the last year. I stood there with the white sand glaring from the sun, and the crystal blue waters rushing around my feet with each wave that came in. I was crying and feeling empty. The letter I clutched tightly in my hand was from my fiancé. This was how he broke off our engagement a year ago. Ever since then, I wondered what the reasons were that he had
