He pulled onto a dirt road amongst the trees. I’m surprised he could find it. If we hadn’t been together, I never would have seen it. He parked in front of a small cabin under some trees. It was beautiful there. The winters here are brutal, but the summers are worth it.

I jumped down from the truck and waited while he collected a red and black plaid blanket and a picnic basket. What was a guy doing with a picnic basket? I wasn’t going to ask.

When he spread the blanket out on the grass, and set the picnic basket down on it, I noticed the tag hanging off the side of the basket. It was new! He’d actually bought a picnic basket for our picnic. Now, I felt special.

I kicked off my sandals as I waited until he sat down on the blanket, so I could sit close to him. I wasn’t sure if he’d try to snuggle up with me. I was pretty sure he wouldn’t, so waiting until after he sat down worked for me, because I got to sit as close to him as I wanted.

He opened up the picnic basket and presented me with a sandwich and a bag of chips. He gave me a choice between a bottle of Coke and a bottle of water. I took the water. I’ve never been much of a pop fan.

We watched the water as we ate. I asked him about the family that adopted him. For him the foster care thing sounded like a positive experience.

He asked how I’d ended up with the Richardsons. I told him the whole sordid story about Mr. Jackson chasing me around the house and trying to force me to be his plaything. Mr. Jackson was repulsive. I almost called him old, but really, he was probably about the same age as Bryan, so I left that out.

We had a really nice time, talking and getting to know one another. When I was finished eating, I picked up our trash and put it in the picnic basket to be disposed of later. I moved closer to him on the blanket, hoping he wouldn’t protest. He gave me a wary look, but he didn’t say anything. I took that as an encouraging sign.

I lay across the blanket with my head in his lap. I figured this was the only way he’d let me get close to his cock. I could feel it rising against the back of my head, but I didn’t say anything about it. I asked him why he’d become a teacher instead.

He smiled. “I never planned on teaching. I went to the university on a football scholarship. I planned on playing for the Vikings one day. I was on my way, too. But I blew out my knee in the last game of the season of my sophomore year. I hadn’t been working very hard at my studies before then, and of course, I lost my football scholarship. I started applying myself to school. My parents paid for me to go, but said they wouldn’t do it if my grades didn’t get above a 3.0 and stay there. So, I did it. I switched my major to PE with a minor in history. I ended up here. Justice High is the only school I’ve ever taught at.”

“I’m glad you ended up in Justice. I don’t think I’d have made it through the school year without you to look forward to every day,” I told him honestly.

He looked down at me in his lap. Until then, he’d been resolutely staring out over the water, trying to ignore the fact that I was so close to him. He reached down and trailed one finger along my cheek. “You know, I think I’m glad I ended up here, too.”

I wanted him to kiss me so badly, but I didn’t want to have to be the one to make the first move this time. I felt like all I’d done was throw myself at him, but now that he was actually interested in me, I didn’t want to do that anymore.

I sat up, and rested my head on his shoulder, hoping he’d get the hint and kiss me.

He slipped his arm around me, but didn’t make any moves toward kissing me. I tried not to let my disappointment show. “I know you think I’m moving too slowly. I know you think you’re ready for a hot and heavy relationship. I think we need to take it slow, because I don’t want you to do something
