he’d
wanted to do. He slowed as they turned
down the lookout road.
“Why are we
here?” Bianca had a panicked look in her eyes.
“Surprise . ”
“I don’t like
surprises . ”
“I promise
you’ll like this one . ”
Bianca nodded, and
he drove down the winding road and pulled to stop. She turned to glare at him. “Why the hell is Greta’s car here?”
He got out of
the car grinning at her. She followed
and grabbed his hand, and he pulled her along the walking track.
“What’s going on,
Caleb? What have you and Greta done?”
Lifting her hand,
he kissed it before he picked her up by the waist and walked down the rest of
the path. She squealed and wrapped her
legs and arms around him.
“Put me down. You’ll hurt yourself. ”
Caleb moved his
hands down to cup her full, round ass and squeezed. “You don’t weigh much . ”
“Ha! Pfft ! What a load of crap. Can you tell me what’s going on yet?”
“Soon, almost
there . ”
Bianca groaned
and buried her face in his shoulder.
Up ahead he saw
his sister putting the finishing touches on the surprise. Greta walked toward
them, and Bianca’s head came up as Greta placed a small box in his hand as she
walked by. Caleb put the item straight
into his pocket.
“Hey, Greta, where
are you going?” Bianca yelled and tried to get down.
He held her
tighter to him as he reached their destination and placed her down on the
blanket. She looked startled for a
moment, and then her eyes widened at the scene around her.
A large blanket
lay on the ground, a bottle of wine sat in a bucket of ice, a bunch of peach, yellow,
and white lilies were arranged in flower box, and chocolate strawberries sat on
a plate.
“Oh my God. You did this for me?”
He watched as a
tear slid down her cheek. Caleb sat
beside her and wiped the tear away. “You
said you wanted to make out at the lookout . ” He
pulled her onto him so she straddled him. Her skirt hiked up her thighs, giving him a
glimpse of the lacy undies she had on. “I thought I’d prove how much fun it can be . ”
He captured her
mouth with his, and his hands moved under her singlet top to caress her
lace-covered nipples. She arched into
his touch as her hands found the bottom of his shirt and yanked it up. They moved apart, panting, and he pulled his
shirt off.
“I can’t believe
you remember that letter I wrote to you five years ago. I don’t know if I should be embarrassed, grateful,
or just honored that you’ve done this for me. ”
Caleb wondered
if he should tell her he’d kept all her letters, read them a lot more than once,
and this little picnic had been planned for years.
“Of course I
remember that letter. You were so upset. You sounded devastated it wasn’t what
everyone told you it would be like. ”
She sighed and
rested her head against his chest. “You
must have thought I was the most selfish person. Writing a letter to someone in Afghanistan
whose biggest thing is trying to stay alive, and here I am complaining about
how my first sexual experience sucked. ”
Lifting her face
up, he brushed his lips against hers. “That’s not at all what I thought. Besides wanting to kill the guy who did that
to you, it was a nice to hear about problems other than my own, no matter how
big or small they were. I thought today
we could make new memories here. ”

Bianca stared up
into his eyes and couldn’t get over how lucky she was. “Wow. I
think I’m the luckiest woman in the world. ”
Not caring about
the food or wine, she crawled onto his lap. “Thank you for doing this for me . ” She winked at him. “Do you want to show me how you’re going to
turn this place into a better experience than my last?”
Caleb growled, nipped
at her lips, and kissed the sting away. “It will be my pleasure . ”
He sat up, pulled
his pants down, and yanked a condom out of his pocket.
