    “How did Gavin do today?” Royce questioned.
    “He did good as usual. He has been complaining that he’s bored lately. He said something about his Uncle Hubert telling him to learn karate,” she replied.
    “Karate, huh?” Royce replied.
    Alena nodded, “Yeah, they have classes for all age ranges. Maybe something like that would be good for him.”
    “Will you look that stuff up for me next week?” Royce asked.
    “Of course. I think it would be good for him to be around other kids more,” Alena replied.
    Royce nodded, “Yeah. You’re probably right.”
    Alena took the casserole she made out of the oven and set the plates on the table.
    “Did you have a good day at work?” Alena asked.
    Royce’s heart fluttered. Alena was so sweet and caring. She always asked how his day was and anytime he needed anything she was happy to help. He knew he had to get over his feelings for her before she moved in.
    “It was busy but good. Are you going to stay and eat with us?” Royce replied.
    Alena glanced at the kitchen clock.
    “Oh! I better not—it’s getting late and I better go. I will see you on Monday,” she answered quickly.
    Royce glanced down at his watch.
    “Oi, I didn’t realize it was so late,” Royce said.
    “Bye Royce. I’ll see you Monday, ” Alena replied warmly.
    He nodded.
    Alena hugged Gavin good-bye and made her way to her car. It was Friday and that meant she had to work at the club. She smiled to herself and realized that as soon as she moved in with Royce and Gavin she wouldn’t have to work at the club anymore.
    Alena got ready as soon as she got home. She then headed into the club. Aaron had told her to come into work a little late which was strange but she was thankful since Royce had been late coming home. For some reason he didn’t seem himself when he got home.
