top of him, she felt his hand in her hair. “Not bad for my first ride.” She whispered as she kissed his chest softly. “I hope it is not the last.” He commented and traced his hands down her back as she shivered under his touch. “I hope not either cowboy.” She sat back up and looked at him. “You are welcome to stay the night until you have to leave for the road.” “I might take you up on that ma’am.” He grinned as his dimples came out, “I would like to have a few seconds to ride you as well.” She nodded. “I would like that too.” Her hands moved along his belly and she lowered her eyes. She really was hoping he would come back after the circuit was done and stay for longer than a few days. She heard Abby yelling for her as the voice got closer to the barn. Quickly Renee stood up and got dressed and adjusted her hair before the door to the barn opened. “Renee are you in here?” Abby asked loudly. “Yup, I will be back to the party soon.” She felt Dutch moving his hands up the back of her calves. “Okay, all I needed to know was do you want me to take the kids with me to town until Wednesday.” Abby started. “I know Dan has to head out then and it might be a nice break for you.” Renee read through the lines and blushed. “That would be great Abby,” Renee answered, “I have a few things to do around here without distractions.” “Okay, consider it done.” Abby started to leave. “Dutch, Dan will pick you up on his way out. He will have to drop off the kids.” Without thinking Dutch answered. “Alright, I will make sure I am ready.” Renee nudged him in his midsection as Abby left. She felt him pull her down with him on the blanket. His body on top of hers as his mouth searched along her jaw bone and his hands traced down her body. She grabbed his hands and whispered. “We have time these next few days.” She started. “I have to say goodbye to the kids and make sure they are packed.” Looking at her, her eyes pleading for his patience. “All right.” He stood up and moved off her, grabbing her hand on the way up. “I can help you.” He began to straighten up as she made sure everything was in place. She looked at the wine and the fruit sighing, she would just have to bring him back out after everyone was gone. They walked back to the house quietly as she saw that Ralph, Breana and Kyle were already packed and getting in the truck with Dan to leave. Shaking her head, Breana was getting her wish to see her mom happy as she waved to Dutch. Dutch tipped his hat back and waved to her with a grin. Breana ran over to her mom and hugged her waist. “Keep this one mom.” She uttered. “He makes you happy.” Dutch reached out and tussled Breana’s hair. “I plan on coming back after I am done out there kiddo.” He commented. Breana smiled from ear to ear and walked to the truck with Renee. Getting in, she smiled at Dutch. He nodded as he placed his hands around Renee’s waist. “I am coming back for your mom.” He winked and the truck drove off.
The Fall
Renee heard the door open. She knew that all the kids were in school and there was no reason for Hank to be coming in. There was too much work to do before they could rest. She felt the arms move around her waist and tender lips on her neck as she smiled. She had worried he would not come back, however a cowboy always kept his word. “I am ready for that ride ma’am.” He nuzzled her ear and she turned to find his lips. “My turn first.” She pushed him to the bedroom and shut the door, welcoming Dutch into her life and her home.
