it’s not only because of my boy. So who is he?”
“I don’t even know him Mik we just met tonight at the party,” Eden said distracting herself with the many patrons moving around the room. “But it looks like I’ll be working with him, and it’s going to be very, very hard to keep it business only.”
    “Same office?” she asked.
“No. His name is Chase, and he’s the CEO at Dean Construction Enterprises,” Eden said while Mikala’s eyes lit up.
“Chase Dean? CEO? The new contract...I see,” Mikala exclaimed, putting two and two together.
“Yep.” She shook her head and let out a sigh. “It’s ridiculous really. I just met him and all I can think about is having sex with him. How desperate does that make me?”
“Don’t beat yourself up over it. I meet guys every day that I’d love to screw, doesn’t make me a whore…just a horny bitch.” Mikala laughed, trying to lighten the moment.
Eden laughed. “You have such a way with words Mik.”
“Yes, I do,” she said, elated that Eden couldn’t read minds or Mikala would have to do some fancy explaining. “You better get your ass in gear before Reece has to get himself off and you miss it all.”
“I’m just going to check my messages in your office first, ok?” Eden queried.
“Sure honey. I’ll talk to you tomorrow, if I don’t see you before you leave.” She gave Eden air kisses and Eden went into her office, closing the door for privacy.

Noticing him as she came around the end of the bar, Mikala took a napkin from the pile and waved it in front of his face to get his attention.
    “Mikala.” Chase smiled.
“Chase,” Mikala said, placing the napkin on the bar where he stood. “The usual?”
“Please,” he said, sitting on the stool as he unbuttoned his suit jacket. “So, did I see you talking to Eden Fox?”
“You did,” she answered with a wry smile.
“What would a beautiful woman like that be hanging around a place like this for?” Chase inquired.
Mikala turned with a furrowed brow. “Hey!” she scolded, holding back his drink, waiting for a little clarity before becoming offended.
“Sorry Mikala, darling. You know I don’t mean it the way it sounds.” He blew her a kiss and winked. “She just doesn’t seem like the type to…have to look for company.”
Mikala couldn’t resist his flirty ways. “I get it. And I also can’t discuss her with you…privacy and all. Besides, she’s my best friend.”
“Oh, so she’s not here looking for a companion,” he stated, oddly happy not to have skipped to a grave conclusion.
    “I didn’t say that.”
“Mikala?” He looked at her with his beautiful eyes and an unspoken question.
Mikala played with the idea of taking him to Eden’s room and locking the pair of them together until they gave into their needs and fucked like jack rabbits. She knew that Eden had him on her mind, and it was pretty obvious that he shared the same thoughts. She worried her lower lip as she played the scenario in her mind, over and over. Eden would kill her, but then again maybe she would be grateful. What to do, what to do?
Taking a sip of his drink, he looked at her with those beautiful eyes, acting as indifferent as he could muster. “Is she here with a man…Reece?” Chase questioned.
“Chase, you know I can’t tell you,” she said, but those sexy eyes of his were driving her insane. “I suppose you met my Reece at the party.”
Chase beamed when she enlightened him as to the situation. “So, he’s one of your escorts? Good to know.”
“Why do you say that?” Mikala asked. “You won’t do anything stupid, right?”
Chase held his hands up in surrender. “I’m not looking for trouble, Mikala. I just came here looking for someone to share a little recreational fun with. You know I’d never do anything crazy.”
Mikala took a fresh napkin from the pile and looked enquiringly into his eyes. She could read people, had a way of seeing deep into a
