her and grinned like
a kid getting a prize. “What are you gonna take off first?”
“Well, I thought you might need to be adequately motivated
right off, so…” Leigh bent at the waist and reached under her skirt to slip off
her lace-trimmed panties. She tossed them on the edge of John’s desk and sat
back down in her chair.
John’s grin changed into something almost feral as he looked
at the peach-colored thong sitting on one of the stacks of paper, then he
looked at her. Leigh felt as if he could see right through her clothing. Of
course, it was a sight he was familiar with, so there would be nothing new
there. But still. A shiver of awareness ran through her knowing exactly where
this game would lead.
He leaned so he could reach the thong, then held her gaze as
he lifted it to his nose and inhaled deeply. Leigh made herself sit still and
not look away, but she felt a flush from head to toe. One side of John’s mouth
tilted up in a sinful grin as he fingered the thin cotton. Finally, he slipped
them into his breast pocket, broke eye contact and went back to studying the
contract in front of him.
She was so distracted by the look on John’s face that it
took a few tries for her to get the password on her phone correct. She had only
read a couple of emails when she heard John announce, “Done.”
He held the page out as if to dare her to inspect it.
Leigh rolled her chair closer to John’s desk so she could
look at the page. She scanned it just to make a show of checking, even though
it was really only a cursory glance. She looked at him and shrugged. “Okay.”
He glanced at her blouse and she could tell he was waiting
to see what she’d do next. Leigh reached down and slipped off one shoe. To make
it apparent that she really had taken something off, she propped both feet on
the edge of his desk, one bare and one still in the shoe, then went back to
reviewing email on her phone.
John reached over and ran the capped end of his pen up the sole
of her foot. Her toes curled in response and she grinned. She had really
sensitive feet. John knew it and he had used that to their mutual advantage on
more than one occasion.
Over the top of her phone Leigh watched John go back to
reading the contract in front of him.
The next page was finished in very little time. Leigh took
the other shoe off and propped both bare feet on the desk.
He pointed towards her feet. “All that is going to do is
make me want to toss this pen down and suck on your toes.”
Pretending innocence, Leigh reminded him, “You need to
finish that contract first.” No matter that she’d like for him to do exactly as
he’d said.
John growled low in his throat and went back to reading the
document.
Leigh was contemplating what to discard next when John slid
a page in her direction. He had a wolfish look on his face. Obviously he was
aware that she was getting down to the main articles of clothing that covered
anything—her shirt and skirt.
She made a production of reviewing the page. John tapped his
pen on the desk, making her smile. Finally she stood and slowly unbuttoned her
blouse while he watched intently. Unfortunately for him, Leigh wore a camisole
beneath her white blouse.
“Somehow that must be cheating,” he complained.
“It’s not like I ran to a store and added layers of clothing
before coming over here.”
He turned his attention back to the documents and grumbled,
“I don’t remember you wearing that many clothes before.”
Leigh smiled to herself. “Only with light-colored, somewhat
sheer tops.”
She saw him take another quick peek, then heard him make a
sound of discontent before reading again.
He put another page on the corner of the desk nearest Leigh
then glanced at the pile before him. “The next one is only a couple of
sentences. I suppose it’s only going to be worth an earring or something, isn’t
it?”
Leigh got up and leaned over the desk to look at the page,
deliberately allowing him a glimpse
