around my shoulder.  I look up at him.
“I was jist telling ma parents aboot yer situation-“as he's speaking, I try to shrug out of his grasp but he’s not having it.  What the hell.  This man doesn’t even know me and he has touched me more intimately than the couple of guys I “dated”, more like what they used when they were drunk and horny.
“And ma mum has invited ye tae stay fur dinner.”  Brody looks over at me with that huge grin.
“Oh, um, that’s very kind offer Mrs.-.”
“McGhee, bit ye canni call me Donna.”  She says reaching out for a hand shake.
“Thank you Donna, but I couldn’t.  I really need to be getting my truck fixed and on my way.  I do have a few more hours to drive before it gets too late.”
“I wull hear none o’ thit.  It’s awready nearly supper time.  The boys canni fit yer tire back on and take ye up tae oor hoose and ye canni git cleaned up from yer days travel.  Relax and huv a hame cooked meal, I insist.”   She comes around the counter now standing in front of Brody and me.
“Son, take yer lady friend here back hame and git the essentials fur her tae clean up.”
“Aye mum, see ye at the hoose.” Brody tells her as her turns us to head back outside. We stop by to see how Kevin is getting along with my tire.
“Jist done noow, Brod."  I’ll stick it in ma truck and meet ye there.”  Kevin yells to Brody.
“Cheers” Brody tells him and we are back in the jeep headed to my truck.
“Your family seems really nice.”  There’s so much I want to say but don’t know where to begin.
“Aye, they are.  Ma mum really likes ye.”
“How do you know, she doesn’t even know me.  None of you do.  Are you all in the habit of bringing strangers home on a regular basis?”
“Noo, we don’t. And if ma mum invited ye tae dinner then she likes ye.  She canni usually tell if she likes someone wi in the first few minutes.  Trust me she doesn’t invite people ower often.”
“Brody, I really can’t stay.  I need to get to Boston as soon as I can.” I try to plea.
“Annie, please stay, I wan tae git tae ken ye mare. And ye’ll break ma poor mum’s heart if ye don’t stay.”  He says the last bit with a playful frown. I can’t help it. I smile and turn looking out the window thinking about it.  The plus side, I get to clean up.  I am dirty from changing or I should say taking the flat tire off.  I am getting hungry and a free dinner is a good dinner.  I am just four maybe five hours away from Boston so I can still get there tonight.  What the hell.
“Okay. I’ll stay.  But just for dinner.”  I look over at him and he’s smiling.  What is this man doing to me?  Why do I feel such a pull to him?  I want to get to know him too but I can’t.  I don’t want to go through being someone’s fuck toy again.  I know what guys want from me.  I’m just the in between girl for them.  Easy pussy, I’ve heard some guys in clubs calling it when they mention banging fat chicks.  And I, looking for love in all the wrong places, went out to these bars with some friends and fell for it more than once.  Then when a couple of them came back, me being stupid thinking I was the one that could change them, I let them in to once again get burned.  After the last fuck head I swore off men.  That was six months ago.  That has to be it, it’s just sexual tension.  Damn and I still have a few more hours of being around Mr. Sex God.  Between his accent and his hot body I’m going to die before I get any release tonight in my hotel room.  We make it back to my truck, Kevin just behind us.  I reach in the bed of the truck for my tools and Brody grabs my wrist.
“Whit ye doing love?”  Brody asks with a low deep sexy voice.
“Getting my tools to put my tire back on, you have a problem with that.  I am capable of doing that.” I say with irritation in my voice.
“Aye I see, and I huv noo doubt thit ye canni pit it back on
