I had seen a beautiful blonde silhouette standing in front of me with the deepest color of brown eyes. I knew that smile, I would remember it anywhere. I was lost in the lyrics and her eyes, then I was smacked by reality and saw Alyssa.
Why the hell was Malory with Alyssa and Cara? I had to talk to her I couldn’t let her walk away tonight. I finished the song, and noticed she was gone. Where the hell could she have went that fast? I glanced over at the bar and I saw her, she was wearing a deep purple dress. Her hair was laying in beautiful blonde curls down her back.
“Hey um…Malory is it?” I asked, I knew damn well what her name was though.
She looked at me with that beautiful smile, and said “Yes, how did you remember? Evan right?”
I smiled, took her hand, and placed a kiss on top of it. “Yes, it is Evan. Dance with me.” I said as I reached for her hand again.
She had a puzzled look on her face as she spoke and said, “Aren’t you with Alyssa?”
Why the hell would she think that? Alyssa and I had been over and we were never really together.
“No, Alyssa and I are just friends, Mal.” I said.
I noticed her smile faded a little, but then she had a twinkle in her eye and took my hand and we headed to the dance floor. The off key lyrics of “Hot in Here” by Nelly was being fed through the speakers when we stepped out on the floor. I hoped someone would sing a slow song, so I could get even closer to this woman. She had her back against me and was dancing and grinding on me.
I needed to step back a little, she had the bulge in my pants ready to bust my fucking zipper out. Her aroma was breathe taking. She smelled like vanilla. My hands were on her hips, I pulled her closer to me and nuzzled my chin in her neck. She let out a little moan.
Then the music changed to “Chasing Pavements” by Adele. I spun her around to look into her eyes. Damn she was beautiful.
“Evan, you sure can dance. I thought I would never see you again. Then when I did, Alyssa said you were her man.” She said.
I looked at her, and said. “I thought I would never see you again. I have been waiting to see you but I had no way of knowing where to find you. How do you know Alyssa?” She had a puzzled look on her face, a look like why I asked her that question.
“We are roommates Evan, you don’t remember seeing me there? The day I ran into you, well when you ran into me on Park Avenue, I was surprised you didn’t know me then.”
I couldn’t believe I hadn’t recognized her. I had met her at a party at the girl’s place a few months ago. Damn, that means she knew about Alyssa and me.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart, I do remember you. There were so many people there that night. What do you say we get out of here and go for a walk?” I asked her, I took her hand and we walked out into the midnight air.
Classes have been going really well, I’ve been seeing Malory here and there. She seemed like a really good girl, not sure what’s going to happen with us. I knew Brody wasn’t feeling her friends, I tried to keep them away from the loft when he was home.
I picked her up and we headed to dinner, I had made reservations at a fancy Italian bistro by campus. Malory had more curves than any girl I’d seen. “You look great tonight, Mal” I said as I winked at her. I’d given her that nick name, I liked it better than her full name.
“Thanks. I hope dinner goes well. I have a surprise for you.” She said.
I smiled and winked at her, and said, “Oh, is that right?! I like surprises.” I chuckled softly.
Dinner was great, I’d heard this was the best bistro around and sure impressed me. “So, when will I get to see this surprise you have in store for me Mal?” I asked as she turned to me and put her hand on me knee.
“Evan, take me back to your place. I would like to spend the night with you, if that is okay with you?”
Hell yeah it would be alright, I had wanted alone time
