comprehend?” Ashton asked and Lisa couldn’t understand what was happening.
“Please tell clearly. I just don’t get what you are saying,” Lisa said.
“There are things you need to know. I have secrets hidden deep inside my heart but I do not know who I should trust. My heart wants to trust you, but my mind is asking me not to make the mistake. Tell me, Lisa, would you break my trust?”
Lisa realized that the matter was serious and she knew that she would never break Ashton’s trust, but in the end, she didn’t want him to be in such a position. She had a lot at stake and after thoroughly analyzing the whole situation she told, “I would never break your trust but share stuff with me when you are comfortable. I mean, just because you are taking me out on a date doesn’t necessarily means you need to open every secret of your life. However if you would choose to do that, I would keep the secret to me. You have my word.”
Ashton looked at her and said, “I am going to turn the car back and we would go to my home. I am ditching the date party because we have important things to know and do.”
Lisa agreed but she was clearly confused and had no clue as to what was about to follow.

Chapter 3:

As Lisa entered inside the premises of his home, she could see what a beautiful penthouse it was. It was colored in some of the most brilliant shades of lilac, pink, azure blue and sea green. The place looked almost like an art museum and she could see what a bliss it would be to simply stay here.
There were a few rooms that were locked and when Ashton took her to his own room, she saw how it empty it was. The room had no furniture and just one bed and a nightstand that had a lamp.
“Why is your room so empty?” Lisa asked.
“I am not from here. I am an alien, Lisa. I am the cursed alien from Jahaba. My life is one mess and I have never opened to anyone except for you. I need to get this secret off my chest as it is beginning to kill me. I want you to know that being with me come with a lot of risks and the things I am going to tell you might change everything about us. If you are scared, I would understand and you would be free to leave.”
Lisa stood there dumbfounded. There was no way any of it could be true. She had worked with Ashton for so long and even though she knew, he was weird, there was no way he could be a freaking alien.
“Are you alright, Lisa?” Ashton asked and she blinked her eyes still trying to absorb the information.
“Are you serious? Are you really an alien?” she asked.
He took her to one of those locked rooms and Lisa was shocked as she found some of the biggest spaceships lying there. There were a spacesuit and some clothes. Ashton showed her pictures of his land and how it was strikingly different from that of earth.
“Why me? Why are you sharing all these with me?” Lisa asked, clearly clueless.
“Okay, let us start from the very start,” Ashton said and asked her to follow to the room.
“I was born at Jahaba nearly 83 years back.”
“You are 83? For real? Are you fucking kidding me?” Lisa asked.
“Lisa let me tell my part of the story. We do not follow the same bound of time and we do not age like humans do. Our planet is different. People do not age there. I stayed there for 60 years after which I was cursed and sent to earth.
The doors of Jahaba have been closed to me completely because I had been caught in an argument with the monarch’s son. It was one of my biggest mistakes that I made at Jahaba, the monarch is the most powerful and his word becomes the law.
When I got into a fight with his son, I had no clue that he was the monarch’s son. However by the time I realized the damage was already done.
I was ousted from the planet and was sent here. However, not only this, I was cursed that the things I would hold dearly would be snatched away from me and I would never get what I truly want.
I have been living in that fear all my life. Every time I
